I guess that’s a fitting end to “Recovery Summer III.”

Bush’s fault?

Let me ask. Do you think we’d be where we are economically if Bush wouldn’t have left our economy in that position when he left office?  Say McCain would have won, where would we be?

Let me ask, who could have done a better job at this point with the hand they were delt? Please do tell….

And remember before you try. Your or their talking points are set for the mindless. Your not mindless. So if you try, I’ll tear them apart because they aren’t factual.

So please, tell me.

Obama has said multiple times that he was going to have a laser focus on jobs or has “pivoted” to jobs or had jobs as his number one priority. Is it that he wasn’t telling the truth and didn’t really focus on it, or is it that he just didn’t know how to do anything effective?

As for TBE’s questions:
You’re right; the Obama administration did not start this situation. They did inherit a bad economy (also inherited a AAA rating), but they own the lack of recovery.

I don’t know what McCain would have done. He wasn’t a very good candidate IMO either. The fact remains though, that Obama won the election so worrying about McCain is a red herring. McCain not being very good doesn’t make Obama good.

Given that we’ve never had a lack of recovery from a recession even close to this, including the bad recession of 1980, I would say there is evidence that the administrations we had in those multiple recessions did a better job. Yes, this was a bad situation and they can’t be compared equally, but the current administration has been simply wrong on what they thought their policies would produce. They passed the healthcare bill and the stimulus and talked about how each were going to stimulate hundreds of thousands into the millions of jobs - wrong across the board.

No administration has had to deal with a racist house who will vote NO to ANYTHING Obama says.

They have had the house now for months, and where is their jobs?

It’s ridiculous… but regardless, you all lose in the end because once one of these zealots win your side, Obama will crush them with one question.

That being…........... how old is the earth?

After that, THE END. 4 more years and the house and the senate with hopefully normal people who will do the peoples business verses the radical right and corp interests.

It mades me laugh when those talking points come to light Curgr. Your people won’t allow Obama to do anything. And it’s deep, personal and won’t change. Sadly.

That’s pathetic! Do you think the republicans would like the Obama policies if Biden introduced them? Why don’t they like Harry Reid, he’s white? How about Pelosi?

The democrats had the house and the senate and the White House. They managed to pass a healthcare bill that overhauls 16% of the economy that the republicans didn’t like, so the idea that they’ve been powerless is pathetic and patently untrue. You want to blame the republicans that have had a small majority in one house for a few months?

Talking points? Like making it a racial issue when you can’t point to any results?  Like the points I predicted you would offer?

Couple of things.

You know, or you should that the new health care stuff hasn’t kicked in yet. Or perhaps you don’t know that. If you watch Fox you don’t know that lol

Secondly, since the radicals took over the house, nothing has been passed. Nothing…. and they haven’t offered anything either. Why? Well, your people made it perfect clear. Make Obama a one term president. Did they not say that?

DID THEY SAY THAT?

And it is racial. Deep fear… and you likely don’t see that either. In your world that is. But here’s your and their problem in Nov 2012. Outside of the radicals, and Rick Perry’s south, EVERYONE knows it. And as soon as Perry or Rominy win your side, and Obama can start pointing it out, perhaps you see that. But that too I doubt.

Go ahead and blame Obama for everything. Continue to refuse to help America pull out of this. Some folks have a big surprise coming. His approval rating is 48 percent with everyone attacking him. Sit and watch….. you’ll see.

There is no chance Rick Perry, Mitt Rominey, or that crazy woman will win against Obama. ZERO. NONE. And because they are so polarizing, and the Tea Party zealots, it will ruin other republicans. The Dem’s will win both house and senate and Obama will be re-elected.

I see that you also noticed that you left Fox News out of your last post. I’m glad you got that in there.

Anyway, on the healthcare bill, I’m sure you read well enough to see that thepoint about it in the last post was tht he was able to get it passed and was therefore not stuck with no ability to pass anything. On the effect of it, the statements were that once it was passed, it would create jobs. Yes, it doesn’t take effect yet because they wanted to play games with the accounting.

Yes, the republican have offered several things, but the Senate, Harry Reid, refuses to allow them to be discussed or voted on. When it that 2010 budget coming?

Yes, they said they wanted him to be a one-term President. So what? They think his policies are bad for the country. Did the left not want Bush to be a one-term President? That pretty obvious.

Deep fear… and you likely don’t see that either. In your world that is. What? Ha ha!

I don’t blame it all on Obama, though I think he’s doing a bad job.

This election should be interesting. Last time, Obama ran on “Hope and Change,” and this time he plans to run on “They’re being mean to me.”

No, he will run and win on the republicans wanting to take away your medicare, medicade and health care and equally important showing the right wants to tax the middle class and not the rich to balance the budget.

It’s that’s simple.

Because all he has to do is show the private sector job growth under him verses when the republicans held the office.

Here’s something you probably didn’t know or see at places you watch or read. This is fact…

I’m not angry Cugr, I like reading your posts about this stuff. It’s amazing exactly how different your world is to others. And I’m not meaning that disrespectfully at all. Your world is driven by Fox News and their agenda that doesn’t present stuff that’s reality. And you and many others read or watch or hear Rush etc and believe that stuff. It’s kinda like propaganda you see in wars and stuff. Really interesting time in our countries history for sure.

Ok, well look at the chart, clearly showing what Obama has done on that front, then go read what your side says. Does that make sense?

Then go look through our rich history as a country and tell me have our elected officials ever called the President of the United States a lair in a house session? Or has the other side ever said above all else, our country going bankrupt included from ‘their’ polices, ever said publically, and proudfully their top goal is to make the President a one term president?

That’s just a few…. what about tar babies? what about all this stuff about his birth certificate. Surely you listen to Rush.. or watch Hannity. What about ....................... I can go on, and on and on.

See it as you wish. Your not alone. There’s other who think just like you do.. your out there, your indeed not alone.

Having to constantly cut taxes disproves supply-side economics, just look at the Bush years.

If business can’t survive in America with weakened unions at 8% and low taxes on the wealthy and corporations, they should just close down or let the government take them over. It’s a constant race to the bottom with conservatives in charge. They’d rather have a form of corporate slavery just so these corporations can have profit.

Good luck with Republicans wanting to privatize Medicare and Social Security. Nobody trusts Wall Street.

Just to demonstrate that this isn’t a fabrication of Fox News, here is the language from the transcript of CNN’s coverage on Sept. 2:

“But first, today’s stunner from the Labor department. The country saw a net gain of no jobs in August. Plus no change in the unemployment rate, still 9.1 percent. “

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1109/02/jkusa.01.html

From CBS:

(CBS/AP)  Last Updated 8:50 a.m. ET

WASHINGTON - Employers added no net workers last month and the unemployment rate was unchanged, a sign that many were nervous the U.S. economy is at risk of slipping into another recession.
