Bush’s fault?
Well, this crapfest economy did begin under his admin. While I agree Obama has done nothing really to improve things, it didn’t begin under him.
Regarding lowering taxes to hire more people? Please let’s stop with this myth. Companies don’t hire when their taxes are lowered; they hire when they want to grow. Simple as that. Freeing up more money won’t magically compel Corporate America to begin hiring in scads. Their execs will just pocket the extra cash like they did with the TARP bailouts. Lower taxes leading to lower unemployment is a total myth that’s been perpetrated by Corporate America for decades and our moron politicians get suckered into it every time.
But, the really big corporate giants pay no taxes at all (ex. GE) so lowering their taxes won’t do any good if they refuse to pay to begin with. Have any of you noticed that Austerity, here and in Europe, is only levied against the middle class? Tell me how many major corporations and Wall Street types are having to endure what we all are?
