Does anyone here have one? I researched the 3D with no glasses, and it’s extremely expensive, and not coming to my price ranch any time soon. I think I’ve decided to go with the Passive 3D which doesn’t require glasses with batteries. The glasses are like the one’s at the movie theater.
Anyway, does anyone here have a “Passive” 3D TV with the plain glasses? My question is do you have to have the room pitch black for the best effect?
Thanks for any advice/replies.

I don’t have any info on that, but I have always heard that watching 3D for too long will give you a headache. I don’t know if that is true or not.

^ I suffer from a headache often due to changing weather and ever present allergies here in central NC.  I should at least enjoy a little entertainment for the trouble.

My dad just got a new hd tv and they decided to stray away from the 3d. He got a 55” vizio 1080p for a really good deal. I get headaches from 3d anyway but everybody is diff. I think 3d is going to be a much higher price for the size and the market is in favor of regular hd but its all about what you want.

I bought a Samsung 55 inch LED 3D TV. It was on massive sale, and came with a 3D blu-ray player and 4 sets of 3D glasses. I’m having my TV nook filled in Jan. 31, and will hang it after that. To be honest I had decided 3D wasn’t a crucial thing, but this TV basically was half off making the 3D free.

Those Vizio TVs are really affordable… and I think they have a nice picture.

The only problem is that you have to step foot into Wal-Mart to get one… That place gives me the boo boo jeebies!!

^ I got mine at Best Buy. They had an awesome sale going on, and it was basically half price with a bunch of free stuff.

Well, it’s January 31… my TV nook is filled, but the wall still needs painting. To beat the band my heat went out on January 30. A service is coming today to check it. I kind of hate I spent the TV money with the heat broken, but I don’t have a crystal ball, so….

Sounds nice. You pretty much can’t go wrong with a Samsung or Sony. They are the best when it comes to LED TVs. I just recently upgraded from a 46 in Samsung LCD to 55 in Sony LED 3D tv and I love it. Bought it during the crazy black friday sales. I really don’t care about the 3D but like you said, it was included, so why not.
