Yea, I can understand him wanting to play against West Va… I would like to think that he wouldn’t have played considering he’ll likely be the 3rd string QB come fall.
Well Clint would still be second string unless Coker beats him out and that is a real possibility as Coker basically has unlimited potential much more so than Clint, bigger, more mobile, bigger arm etc.

I see now WVU will no go down in infamy along with Auburn with teams that actually pay good money to not play FSU. We should certainly try and schedule both teams more often as it is good for treasury! We can buy even better players at this rate.
I don’t fault WVU for backing out, this has happened because of joining the Big12. They went from playing 7 conference games to 9 conference games, somebody OOC had to get dropped. It was not going to be their in-state rival Marshall because of WV politics makes them play, Maryland signed a long term deal to keep them on the schedule, JMU was a 1 and done neutral site game that they cannot back out of.
