I wouldn’t be surprised to see Coach Pinkel from Mizzou name pop up - I think he’s gone about as far as he can where he is, and brought a program to life that has been a perrenial loser.  Not sure about Clemson or Tennessee, but I think he’s probably talented enough to move up.  Just not sure Clemson is an improvement over Big 12 and Mizzou.

And you’re right, all the up and coming coaches are coaching spread and speed and Tennessee has limited speed so i don’t see how Leach could help there.  Although its remarkable what he’s done at TTech, and a good coach will find the talent.

Tennessee basketball was weakend terribly and in two years a good coach (pearl) has them in top 5-10 every year now competing so don’t underestimate what a strong coach can accomplish with a strong university.  Tennessee has alot to offer and Fulmer couldnt’ get the kids that wanted to be on sportcenter running that antequated offense of his that went out with the hoola-hoop.

So Spurrier and Cutcliff both say they dont want the job.  Not sure if i believe Cutcliff.

I know it is hip but i sure hope we dont’ go to the spread offense again next year.  This year was a freaking disaster and we don’t have the personnel to run it. So next year would be another write off.  Gimme a solid pro style coach that believes in Defense and running the football and I think we will be fine.
