I must say, FSU’s schedule this year is looking VERY easy. Better hope you make the best of it or else the media will eat you alive. Clemson, VT, and Florida are your only quality games on there at this point. From an outsider looking in, anything less then 11 wins this year for FSU is a failure and disappointment, ESPECIALLY with the talent they have now….heck maybe even 12-1. Because you noles won’t beat my Tigers. hahaha
LOL….....I live in Savannah. They are about as bad as bad can get. I wished The were playing in Savannah. I would go. I have literally seen HS Stadiums larger.
Savannah State will gladly take the money they will make from playing the Noles….

But on paper, no where close to FSU. Just looking at it on paper at this point, FSU has the ability to dominate everyone on their schedule. Assuming Clemson’s defense will improve, I think us and VT pose the biggest threat. Florida maybe but FSU hasn’t seemed to have any problem with them the past few years.

I understand your point but the schedule while weak isn’t that bad. Certainly the WVU drop hurts a lot and two FCS teams is silly. But we have Clemson, Florida, at USF, at Virginia Tech, at NC State, at Miami. That is certainly more difficult than some of the schedules that teams like Southern Cal, Ohio St, West Virginia and VT have played in the past.
That could come back to bite y’all. Remember Auburn in 2004 had to take Citadel and it ended up costing them a shot at the MNC.
This was the point I was alluding to. Your schedule is setup perfect to make a run at a special season….but you have to really win the voters over early and keep them in your corner because I doubt you’ll get tons of help from the computers.
Yes NCST, Miami, etc will be decent….but they won’t be great. You really need some teams to step up and be strong competitors this year to in turn help FSU’s computer ranking.
I have no doubt you won’t have any trouble getting the 7 wins needed to qualify for a bowl this year, I’m just saying the deck is stacked against you for a run at the big game especially going against the Alabamas and LSUs (like usual) and like we saw last year…its not impossible to have 2 SEC teams playing for it. UGA will be improved, Arkansas will be up there, and who knows who else from the SEC. This schedule just can’t compete in that aspect
Impossible? Definitely not. Probable? I have my doubts right now just because of the computers. Like I said, TO ME (a non FSU fan) anything below 11 wins would be a failure and disappointment, not sure how FSU fans feel about the season but thats how I feel looking at you on paper. Maybe you can blow people out of the water and earn some style points.

I believe our strength of schedule will be pretty high. I expect most of FSU’s opponents to be better than they were this past year. Perhaps the computers will penalize FSU for playing 2 FCS schools, but it’s not really better or worse than playing a bad FBS team.

Ok, so if FSU doesn’t go undefeated don’t run back here saying FSU fans had us ranked pre-season top 10/over-ranked/under-achieving/etc. That wasn’t us.
I’ll buy into the FSU hype this year myself….at this point in time, who knows what can pop up between now and then….but if they fail I’m still going to laugh.
