UNC 98 - 15 March 2012 08:50 PM

OK. What bracket is Harvard in?Just kidding. I think Vanderbilt beat them. UNC is pretty much Final Four bound. Gtown or Kansas may pose a challenge in the elite eight. I’ll readily admit this team is of no comparison to the 2009 UNC team. That team’s closest game in the NCAA tournament was a 12 point win vs. LSU in the 2nd round. This team some are saying will likely play Kentucky in the title game. I’m not so bold. I believe once you make it to the Final Four, as UNC has done 18 times, it is just really difficult opponents no matter who you play. Skill, coaching and sometimes a little luck must help you to prevail if you are to become the champions.

They got the soft draw out of all the ones.

Get mad at Duke more than UNC. There’s just a plain hatred for teams that win consistently ex. Patriots, Yankee’s, Red Sox etc. UNC has had more down seasons recently. 8-20 in 2002 and 5-11 in ACC in 2010. That was all a conspiracy by the ACC too right? and it’s refs…. wink

Yes, UNC got a favorable bracket, but from what I’ve read it was being held for Duke if they had won the ACC Tournament. I have always thought and will continue to think the ACC tournament champion is somewhat hamstrung by the game being on selection Sunday. I’m not one to say the ACC should change the format, but usually the result of the game doesn’t play a big advantage to the winner.

I’m quite lucky. I have a lovely wife, two great kids and an ever improving golf game.
