I know I don’t want these games taken off the schedule. I have many Tigers fans in my circle of friends and we have been very much been looking forward to this home and home series rivalry be renewed even if it is just for these two seasons.

With all of this expansion and uncertainty about the future schedules I guess I can see the reasoning for the hesitation….but c’mon don’t take this one away!

I don’t know how all of you Clemson folks feel about this but if I had to guess you guys want these games as much as the Dawg fans do.

Clemson fans agree with you. This was always a fun game, and I would hate to see this go away.

I will be pissed if we lose this game.  I think most Clemson fans feel this way.  The younger people have no idea to the 40+ crowd just how great of a rivalry this is.

Perhaps when we Clemson and FSU announces this summer that both schools will be joining either the B1g 12 or the SEC the UGA Clemson game will be preserved

I got an idea…how bout you just don’t cancel it then?

I hope you get to play it too…in between your trips to Ames and Lawrence.

This Clemson and FSU to the Big12 stuff is something else. I did a little google search on it and the places where they say it’s at least possible are WVU sources. The local newspaper sports editor in Oklahoma thinks it’s a fantasy. The crux of the issue is academics. The fact is as a whole the ACC is seen as a way better conference academically. This in turn helps the member institutions to attain money for research projects and to fund other academic pursuits. While on a football level the move makes sense. The question is whether any extra money gained can be used to make up for any academic money lost. To me it’s either that or the idea that the deans and leaders of these two schools do not care or do not worry about those lost funds. Is anyone here close at all to that part of the equation? Can you shed light on how the potential academic consequences are being considered? Thanks ahead for any insight on this angle.

Clemson will not go to the Big 12, and hopefully we will play UGA.

Here is some academic consequences for you Heels to consider.  First the dirty tutoring/agent scandal rocks your storied institution and now a professor smuggling cocaine, oh how the mighty have fallen.

OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH you got us. I am going to go burn my degree tonight when I get home from my fraudulent work my university lead me to.

If we could only strive to be the leaders in blue cheese manufacturing like yall we might stay out of trouble…

I swear to god you are 8 years old. If you are not then that is even worse. At least you would have an excuse for acting like a child.

LOL hilarious, I’m not the one taking internet message boards so seriously.  Calm down.  Quit crying, welcome to the internet.  Its good to know that you CAN’T handle any criticism or smack talk.  Wine and cheese crowd folks, wine and cheese.

Whats worse, being an 8 year old or being the world’s most perfect adult that can’t take criticism/smack talk from an 8 year old?  Hmm, not sure.

I realize that it is very unlikely Clemson and FSU will not be joining the B1g 12 or SEC but I really have a lot of fun watching the UNC fans nut-up every time the subject comes up…...it is pretty entertaining.

Thanks, never been called perfect before…my wife would say your standards are pretty low. I appreciate the welcome you are giving me although pretty sure I have been on this board and the internet since near the beginning. Never quite understood why wine and cheese is an insult either. That is like calling someone rich and smart as a put down.

I will leave the body paint to folks like y’all I guess, now pass the Pinot and Stilton please.

Anyhow, the only thing I think Carolina would miss is the win we get every year in basketball. I was hoping to see 0-100 one day for Clemson in Chapel Hill.

I guess you call that a nut-up. Whatever that means.

Anyhow I am sorry this thread got hijacked but I have yet to hear why the series would HAVE to be cancelled. Sounds to me like the Furman and Wofford games are just too important to Clemson so you only have yourself to blame. Nobody is forcing you.

My apology in using an old colloquialism.  “Nut-Up” would be like taking a defensive and argumentative posture in a debate or some other situation…...Perhaps the slang term “Getting your panties in a wad” would be more familiar…..But either way, I will assume that you are not as well versed in slang and try to be more precise since you want to be persnickety.

BTW…Congrats on the UNC win over OHIO…If your boys commit 24 turnover against Kansas you will be done.
