Seemed as shocked about being a wizard as Jordan back in the day.

The thing is the dentist that performed the surgery probably went to UNC, carries out his legal matters with a lawyer that probably went to UNC, goes to see his own doctor, who probably went to UNC, talks with the nurse, who probably went to UNC. When he goes to the bank for a loan for business expansion.. that banker probably went to UNC. When that dentist needs a prescription filled the pharmacist who fills it probably went to UNC. UNC is so interwoven through this state it’s virtually impossible to conduct business on a serious level and not come in contact with a UNC graduate…. Now, when you need the grass cut…...

I’m quite lucky. I have a lovely wife, two great kids and an ever improving golf game.

Nothing there when I checked…so I dont get the attempted slight on Carolina coming from FSU. Carolina guy hired by Duke grad? Whatever…Not in NC dude…none of those yankees ever stay…they always go back to the NJ/NY hole they came from. Considering the fact that it is tougher to go to Carolina out of state than it is to go to Duke, I think we match up just fine compared to those dorks.

That’s gotta be one of the most arrogant posts I’ve ever read. I don’t know too much about colleges in North Carolina because I’m from south Georgia and never cared to move to Carolina… But quite frankly I could give a damn if you went to UNC, NC State, Duke, Wake, or ECU for that matter.

I’m glad you’re proud of school… but if you’re going to act all high and mighty you can keep it to yourself.

Whats so arrogant about saying Duke people by-in-large aren’t from NC nor do they stay in NC?

Most are from up North and they go back. Hence The University of New Jersey at Durham t shirts.

As far as admission standards, it is harder to get into Carolina out of state than Duke. In state a little easier. That is a statement of fact.

There are also alot of dorks that go to Duke.

Sorry if that seems arrogant. Try talking to a Dookie. They along with UVA define arrogance.

I am also surprised to see an FSU guy defending Duke.

SoPines is technically correct with his statements concerning the origin of Duke students (a private school, not a state university) and their tendency to leave the state upon graduating. That is why, in spite of Duke’s basketball success, there are far more Carolina and State fans and alumni in the state of North Carolina as a whole.
