Stamey’s is good! Check out Hurseys in Burlington sometime Hokie if you are in the triad area.

My wife and inlaws are Charlotte natives and they say that Old Hickory House on N. Tryon or Spoon’s on South Blvd are their favorites in Charlotte and both eastern style. Hope that helps!

Thanks SoPines. I haven’t had a chance to ask anyone on this. I know all about eastern NC, as that’s where I’ve lived. Wilson has a couple of fine barbecue houses. I grew up going to Bullocks in Durham. That will always be my favorite. Allen and Sons North of Chapel Hill, and Holdens in Youngsville, NC are good also.
