The big kicker that enraged them is the ACC keeping second tier rights for basketball and giving them away in football. Did he say basketball? basketball?
If I am not mistaken FSU could have their own channel in the big 12. That is where the money is. And that is where FSU is holding their chips, argue if you will but FSU draws viewers of a national audience right up there under Notre Dame.
You don’t make money on how many fans go to games, the money is in TV. I am not going out and watch a game in Texas or Oklahoma but it is a different story when they come to Tallahassee.
You don’t have to wonder or listen to talking heads jaw about whether FSU would have no chance vs OU, Texas or even OSU, WVU, you find out on the field every year. And FSU would fill up the stadium for those home games. They would make some money doing it also, I don’t care if FSU lost to OU, at least we would be settling it on the field.
Looks like this story has legs. Spetman denied it but so did Missouri concerning a move to the SEC. Sometimes that is your tip off when the AD plays dumb.
