Im just kinda curious, when football season rolls back around, is there a place on SPS for the discussion of individual games? or will someone just have to create a board every week for each game?

There won’t be any time to talk fooball with the Big 12 expanding because their TV contract will be worth brazillions.

That is all anyone cares about anymore.

I am interested in these Brazillions you speak of….  For the record, I am neither for or against a movement in the Big12, I’ve argued both sides but the bottom line is this is out of our hands.  Wherever my team goes, I’ll be watching them no matter what.

We have all turned sps into a hell of a good message board.  Some of it is thanks to ESPN for screwing up their message boards.

It is great to have such good sports talk in the off season.  We just have to keep spreading the word.  The Mods are reasonable people that are open to suggestions…if not…bribe them That what Spurrier wants to do

As to SP message posting… I have a buddy who has been waiting for a long time to be approved. He is an Auburn fan and loves to talk football and other stuff as well.

I know you guys had trouble getting access. Is there a step we may be missing?

I’ve started threads about individual games before and some times I would be the only 1 posting.

Ya i emailed charlie and was approved within 24 hours

Now back to the thread topic,

I guess the easiest way to do it would be to go under “the alley” and make a “sticky” thread for each game of the week, and then after the game “unstick” it, so that the games for the week are always at the top and then theres a back log of all the other games of the season to let people continue their discussions

Please do not screw up the message boards like ESPN did.  That is the main reason I don’t go there often.  It is terrible.  I think I speak for most people that progress is a good thing, but please don’t destroy a good thing…

We’ve looked a bunch of boards and we aren’t really changing much that ya’ll will notice. The bot situation is horrible and we have almost 100k registered members and growing. As far as our forum goes, that kind of change is what I’m mostly talking about. Techy backend stuff. Now the site, that’s a whole different discussion. We got big time change coming. New design, more specific coverage, video and other things

if i may be so bold, one thing id kinda like to see is discussion boards at the bottom of articles.

I think fitsnews.com is a really good example
