I’m going to have to go contrarian and say Taylor. I was never impressed with what Wilson did at NC State, but maybe I’m biased especially considering he never beat Clemson, and had a ton of interceptions against us. When he moved to Wiscky, he had a power run game that threatened everyone and the field opened up a bit more. That and the BIG10 defenses aren’t as good against the pass as they are against the run. Taylor seemed like he always played with a chip on his shoulder and had more a desire to win and extend the play (which sometimes worked against him). I think he had a better mentality than Wilson but that’s just me.

Also didnt hurt wilson that Wisc’s line was bigger than the packer’s
I would go with Russell Wilson. Taylor is the better runner, while Wison was a better pre passer. What separates them, however, it Wilson’s knowledge of the game and leadership skills.
I gotta disagree with you Matt, Wilson wasnt a big standout in the ACC, He moved to wiskey where they have ball to run and take pressure off, one of the biggest lines in all of football to protect him, and in a conference that has defenses generally geared towards stopping the run. Id be interested to see them side by side in the combine though, i think they are probably just as even as the opinions in this thread are indicating

You didn’t consider Wilson a standout in the ACC? In his three years at NC State, he was named an all-conference player every year (one year was honorable mention). Of course his stats were better at Wisconsin, but that is going to happen whenever you play with superior talent. He was also not asked to carry the offensive load with the Badgers, which helped his efficiency. Taylor was a great player, but I think Wilson gave you more consistency and was a more balanced player.
