Just saying, the computers won’t like the FSU schedule, even if they win the popular vote with the public.  I have nothing against FSU, I think they will be a scary team this year and years after, a sleeping giant if you will, but I cannot say with 100% certainty like some of you that FSU would be a lock….especially with their schedule.  Maybe a year they play Oklahoma, WVU, etc….but not this year.  The computers will wreck them (system flaw).  Their only hope is to win with style, and beat opponents to next week each and every game and pray that everyone else has crazy games down the stretch and finish with 2 losses at least.  If Clemson can’t do it I have no problems seeing FSU do it…but it just won’t happen.

You’ve all seen how the computers love Boise’s schedule..doesn’t matter if they go undefeated or not.  Auburn a few years back too.  And like stated above, I’m not saying a one loss Vandy, Ole Miss, etc will go….I’m talking the 1 loss Arkansas, Bama, LSU, etc.  Might not be FSU’s fault for their OOC schedule this year, but their ACC schedule doesn’t help them that much either.

The ACC is just not tough enough, face it.  This is not your daddy’s college football landscape anymore.  Winning out =/= National Championship, especially in the ACC.  Time to grow up and trade in the Nerf football guys.  Time to play big boy football.

We don’t even know if FSU’s sophomore offensive line is going to be able to block this year or not. I would like to think they can with another year under Trickett but there is no guarantee. Everything else is in place except the offensive line. In placing players on a 4 deep ACC teams, Steele has FSU with 20 on these teams, 50% more than runner up Clemson. But they will have to run the ball.

We are assuming Manuel can check down better and find open receivers also. I wasn’t impressed with some of his reads last year. We are also assuming he does not get hurt again. People don’t remember he was hurt during the Wake game, all they remember is FSU lost to Wake.

One biggie here is will Mario Pender add some zip to the running backs. If this guy is as good as they say he is, he could have an effect. Even with that Chis Thompson is back and the little scatter back can reel off those 90 yard touchdown runs from time to time ala Miami ... 45-17.

As mentioned above, FSU must not only win but win in style.

Ah right, this again. If FSU loses a game we get to hear about how FSU fans had them over-hyped and over-rated. Darn FSU fans voting in national polls and magazines!

All I have to say is the FSU continues to dominate as one of the best Pre-Season teams in the Nation.  Year in and year out they are always in contention

This year I am going to wait and see if the offensive line can actually block before I start jawing too much.
