Honestly, I’m buying USC’s(Real) hype this year. I think coming off the post season ban and pretty loaded up they’ll be ready to play. Bias or not I think they will be up there at the top.
Based on SOS last year, as ACC champs Clemson would of ranked 26th. And thats playing Auburn and USCjr OOC. And also playing VT twice. The few big names on the schedule can’t hold up against the other piles of crap. Good luck.
There’s no threat of an undefeated ACC team this year getting jumped by a one-loss team, primarily because VT, FSU, and Clemson play a round robin. With VT last year, if they had gone 12-0 and beaten say Wake Forest for a second time in the ACCCG, I could maybe see some debate between them and an OK State or Alabama.

Clemson’s schedule would undoubtedly be tough enough to get them in. They have contests with Auburn, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, FSU and South Carolina. That is a tough looking ledger.
What would potentially boost our schedule if we were to go undefeated would be two likely wins against VT. Combine that with a win over Clemson and a win over UF and that’s four pretty strong victories. Comparing our upcoming schedule to Boise State in the past is a complete joke.
Clemson’s schedule is definately tougher than FSU’s. As far as Phil Steele, he picked Florida to win the SEC east so I don’t know how much credibility he has.
I have been scratching my Head on Phil Steel’s book this year. Let’s Say FSU does run the Table and ends up number 1…..And Clemson only loses to FSU…..How does that drop them down to 14th? It would seem to me that a 1 loss record to the National Champs would have you in the top 10 if not top 5…..stuff like that is bothering me.
