To bad they don’t have a good football coach to bring them up.  This is what SEC money will get you, despite being terrible for the past ~7 years.  Pretty impressive.

IMO if UT is patient with Dooley and truly gives him time to rebuild a program that was a shell of itself by the end of the Fulmer era, then was pretty much burnt to the ground by Lane Kiffin the Vols can return to contending for the East on a yearly basis. When Dooley took over there was a severe lack of talent due to several consecutive years of significant attrition, and recruiting being affected by the coaching changes.

Now, Dooley has made his fair share of coaching mistakes, but the lack of depth he’s had his entire tenure in Knoxville has factored in that as well.
