Thanks again for another treatise. So why were the Big 12 schools denied since you know so much?

What exactly is your point? I have no idea what you are trying to show anymore.

Academics don’t matter? Is that it? Yeah, that is why Mizzou was denied Big 10 membership and WVU was denied ACC and SEC membership. Because their football team wasn’t good enough right? Maybe that will explain why they ran up the score on Clemson. (Which was typical WV class btw and wrong but they were mad at the ACC.)

Recognition is the first step, unless you are trying to amuse us all. But hey, if you keep saying it then it must be true, which pretty much explains the Big 12 green grass.

You’re cute.  Now you’re getting indignant b/c you can’t follow along.  I’m sorry posts longer than a few sentences give you fits.  I’ll try to break my posts up for you so they’re easier for you to digest.  Keep clinging & doubling-down.  Smootches.

You don’t give me fits at all, more amused at your lack of ability to answer my statement.

I have found in life that blowhards tend to use long sentences to cover up their lack of knowledge. You have two lapdogs that want to cheer you on because they cant answer either.
The fact you can’t refute my statements show that is the category you belong in. Keep trying though…

The Longhorns and a contingent of Big 12 schools seemed destined for the then Pac-10 last summer, but the deal fell apart for a variety of reasons; one of them was the status of the Longhorn Network.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/855097-report-pac-12-is-finalizing-a-deal-for-texas-texas-tech-oklahoma-and-osu

The Pac-12 decided it won’t expand further late Tuesday because commissioner Larry Scott failed to get assurance that Texas would back an equal revenue sharing plan

members of the new Pac-12 decided not to stretch the league farther east.

http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/6998751/pac-12-conference-decides-expand-further

It has nothing indicating they simply were not as smart as them boys up in Durham! LOL

LOL…you are a piece of work.  I haven’t refuted your statements?  I’ve shot holes in everything you’ve said to me in this thread.  Reread the thread…it’s pretty straightforward.  There are even quotes w/each post for context so you can follow right along.  Though I wouldn’t have thought a UNC guy would need his hand held like this.  The only things I haven’t addressed were your lazy “well why don’t you tell us if you know so much” & “I can’t follow along” retreats.

All you can do is petulantly insist that I’m wrong (w/o actually backing that up), weakly deride the length of my posts (which is really quite funny), & imply that I (or anyone else really) just don’t have the intellectual chops to keep up w/you.  Then you insult others by calling them my lapdogs b/c they have the gall not to agree w/you?  But I’m the blowhard?  Riiiiiiiiiight.  I believe Maynard said it best…“not all martyrs see divinity, but at least you tried”.

It’s been fun, but I’m through w/this little pissing contest.  Besides, this post might be getting a bit too long for you to follow.

Cute….

4schitz and I have had a few years of contentious debates with each other.  To his credit, he has figured out rather quickly that you are like a broken record repeating the same spin over and over.  He just elaborates on his points quite a bit more thoroughly than most.  I am simply happy to see someone else on the business end of one of his debates to see how that person can hold up.  Frankly you are folding like a lawn chair.  In just a short period of time he already has you name calling and making jibes at others…......That is very “Gamecock” of you.

Well, wasn’t refering to you but to Clem and Sem who I usually argue with. Didn’t know I folded either but that is fine. Exactly what spin and I laying out like a broken record? Facts? Ok then I am guilty.

I at least appreciate Seminole responding with some evidence. I concede that academics aren’t the main concern in this mess but to say they have nothing to do with it is wrong also. Evidence Mizzou being rejected by the Big 10 and WVU’s rejection from both the SEC and the ACC. And this: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5286672

Dated but check the end of the article: “Earlier Monday, ESPN reported the departure of Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to the Pac-10 was “imminent,” citing four sources within the Big 12.
A source told ESPN’s Joe Schad that Powers was taking a “global view” of the landscape, excited about the importance of aligning his school with research opportunities and academic reputations of schools in the Pac-10.”

College Presidents end up making these decisions, and they think about academic rankings, not AP rankings. Judgements are made by the company you keep whether true or not. That has been illustrated time and time again…

Well good. I will hold you to your “I’m through” pledge.

Another post with no refute, so I think you need to recheck the thread and see who actually answered.  It wasn’t you, and the lapdog comments were for the folks posting to egg you on. At least Sem came at me with evidence which I can respect. From you, I get a quote from some dude named Maynard completely off subject. You write like a grad student. Is that what you are? Do you have a pony tail also? I think Hollywood covered you in Good Will Hunting.

Funny also that every post you make is trying to show me how smart you are, yet you claim I am the one trying to illustrate superiority. I guess Maynard would call that irony?

I don’t know man. He apparently played spread in high school and says he is having fun. His backup is more prototypical but apparently hasn’t beaten him out.

I do not expect Carolina to just come out and win all their games because the new coach is good. I have been accused of being naive before, but i’m not that naive. They may even lose a stinker of a game to some no name at which point State fans will have a field day. Fedora’s track record has been a slow build everywhere he has been so this should be no different.

I do think Davis left the cupboard stocked though and with all the scruitiny, the guys that play for Carolina this fall will be EXTREMELY eligible if you know what I mean. The program has pretty much gotten a colonoscopy so I dont expect much attrition like the past couple of seasons. Bernard is ideally suited for this offense, and the reciever corps is deep even if there are no stars. Phil Steele has us ranked really high due to a light schedule too (although Idaho is a replacement for Tennessee who backed out) so I can see 8-9 wins being really realistic. All they can play for is a coastal title since they are ineligible for anything else. Should be fun…

I think the surprise team this season in the ACC will be either NCSU or GT. I am going with GT since they always seem to do better with lower expectations.

See..isn’t that more fun?

The problem is that since football is not going on, and with all of the off-season drama, everyone is getting fidgety and running out of fresh things to talk about and we are all starting to get on each others nerves.

Fortunately, we are getting close to Fall Camps and the BCS will be announcing their plans by the end of the month supposedly and we can have a whole new plethora of stuff to talk about.

You will even like 4schitz after a while…I promise.  He will thicken your hide up.  We have had some extremely tense exchanges and you will never accuse him for not lacking passion.  There have been times that I wanted to reach in to the monitor and throttle him…

I can handle it, the only thing I don’t like is irrational haters that cannot see both sides. I welcome all to the conversation. When I get a shot taken at me or my school though, or something is said as a statement of fact that is not true, I respond, that is all, and I don’t try to shut others down unless my response gets them to change their opinion.  That’s all…

There is no doubt that this expansion stuff has gone wild in the void of content. That is where I give The Dude and Chip Brown credit. They have driven traffic for their sites, and somehow managed to drive the news which is amazing. We live in a new era now and I just think message board fans should realize the difference in reporting vs posting. The lines get blurred.

I am not a Clemson or FSU hater as I like both of them and like them in the ACC. I would be sorry to see them leave but I wont cry about it. The reports of the demise of the ACC are GREATLY exaggerated by people who have agendas even if a school or two leave which I admit could happen. The thing is though, no one has ever left the ACC save South Carolina. They paid dearly for it for 20 years and have finally recovered and are prospering to historic heights in the SEC no doubt. It is my opinion that the SEC is the ONLY conference that could be a gain over the ACC for a southern school. As such, if the SEC offer came I would understand for a Clemson or FSU to take it. Big 12 not so much.

Not hating on you, just correcting your wording.  South Carolina never recovered from leaving the ACC, rather stayed at the same level as when they were in it (non-competitive).  The fact that they had a coupld of good seasons recently is not a recovery because that would idicate they’ve been here before.  This is the pinnacle of their football program and the first peak of their success.
