Dont worry…everytime something good happens to Clemson I will remind how you said it couldn’t be done in the ACC.

Newsflash from both Dabo Swinney and Brad Brownell: Clemson ain’t going anywhere. No need to hate reality. ACCept it and move on.

The “Dud” is backtracking again…....

http://dudeofwv.blogspot.com/

In short, this idiot who was virtually assuring every that Clemson and FSU moving to the Big 12 was essentially a done dealing is now spinning a bit of a new yarn about this non-issue.

His latest article is titled “The Big 12 is About to Make a Big Mistake”......that should tell you a lot from just the header.  He knows his BS story that had everyone lathered up is coming to a conclusion and now this “hack” has to create another tale to keep this discussion alive….

The best thing people can of is walk away.  He is a lying hack..plain and simple.

Rape…good analogy. The ACC just gave a path for Clemson into the Orange Bowl, and Clemson is making more money now than they EVER have and will do so this year too and your analogy is Rape.

Keep talking. The more nonsense you say the more it improves your credibility.

The orange bowl, you are really using the orange bowl as your defense??  The same orange bowl that hasn’t even picked a partner for the ACC yet in the new system?  Which will probably end up being whoever is left after the big 4 choose their matchups.  Second rate, that’s your Orange bowl.

It is rape.  We are making more money, yes.  So are every other conference, more money.  We may be making money but we are getting left behind.  I wouldn’t expect you to understand that since your closest compeition is only about $3 million difference.  Where as total revenue difference between FSU and Florida is in the neighborhood of $36 Mil, and the difference between USC and Clemson is close to $22.5 Mil.

UNC = Peter Pan, never wants to grow up.  Never wants to go play with the big boys.  Oh and I’m not shooting for any credibility, why do I need it?  Am I trying to be an actual source for news and happenings in college football?  Southernpigskin needs credibility, Clemtgrs does not.

If numbers projected come true, the ACC will be behind 17-22 million a year to SEC and Big 12 using historical guides

Yeah Baylor guy thinks the Big 12 is worth trillions. Too bad his commishoner was told no more money. Good source.

I am starting to question your ability to reason with sillyness like that.

Clem I really want Clemson out of this league also. FSU vs Clemson is good rivalry and would be good for the Big 12. (all of jawing and photo shopping aside)

Here is some more news the Dude speaks again! He says expansion back on the table. There is a new twist according to his “inside sources” the contract would not automatically go up with FSU and Clemson, although FSU and clemson would still be making 7 to 9 million more than in the ACC.

http://dudeofwv.blogspot.com/2012/06/big-12-is-about-to-make-big-mistake.html

Somebody pasted that same blurp I put in the other post.

We all know that money is driving the bus here, but I contend that the recent development of Clemson being cold-shouldered has everything to do with the Big 12 leaders (esp. Dodds and Bowlsby) MAXIMIZING PLAYOFF ACCESS for its members. Let me explain. First, I believe Bowlsby, Dodds, et al. were waiting for today’s OFFICIAL announcement to 100% confirm that BOTH Strength of Schedule AND Conference Champion Status would play a vital role for the Final Four selection committee. Now that they have that information confirmed, they are going to make a strategic masterstroke to give the Big 12 an advantage over every other league with 12 or more members. Here it is. What better scenario to possibly put TWO Big 12 teams in the Final Four than by having 11 full members (current 10 + FSU) and ND as an associate member for schedule strength and $$$? Think about it. This would kill both birds with one stone. First, it would satisfy the monetary component, as both universities bring a net gain in TV revenue to the table. Let’s assume UT and OU get ND annually or semi-annually. Then throw in FSU as a full. Imagine the TV contracts this would demand

I think sometime in the next six weeks somebody is going to ask ND if they want in the conference or not and if not then the Big 12 will do what it needs to do. They think ND is playing the big 12 like it did the big east and they may be right. Dodd may have wink with them to simply kill expansion with a lot of jawing because Texas wants the easy road to the NC playoffs.

Keep in mind, WVU and TCU will officially join the Big 12 in the next few days and finally get an actual vote in the conference.  Ball could start rolling come July 1.

I still have my fingers crossed that Clemson is part of the equation, but I’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

All the talk and it may be just talk certainly feeds the impression that Texas is hard to deal with.
