Clem:  A couple of things.  First, I am not on my knees hoping to get into the SEC; remember I am for staying in the ACC.  I am saying that (you guys being blocked by SCar not withstanding), the SEC is a better conference.  No one has measured up to that conference (SEC) in years.  All of this blogging doesn’t change that.  Best football conference period.  It is my hope that the ACC, with its top football schools, can right the ship and compete.  If that doesn’t happen and if the conference remains basketball oriented (in many people’s perception), then yes…I would advocate looking elsewhere. 

Bottom line here, I’m just stirring the pot a little with you and Seminole.  I really don’t have anything else to add on this subject.  Hell, I’ve posted more on this topic in regards to you guys than I have in my 3 years as a member!  To that I say to you…good job!

Swvadon it will have to stay a basketball league, as two basketball leagues have just been added, Pitt and Syracuse, and it will be making basketball money for sometime to come. That is 12 million a year with $500,00 added yearly until 2021 when everyone makes 17 million a year. FSU enjoys competing nationally in football and that won’t cut it. You can’t keep the stadium painted on that type chicken feed these days.

FSU and Clemson tried to save this league years ago, they wanted Swofford out. What they got instead was extra probation for Clemson and both Clemson and FSU got Cherry and rigged ball games. FSU got VT and GT off the schedule.

Swofford has run the league like the small town thug we see in the movie “RoadHouse” starring Patrick Swayze.

Pitt has mannequins in the stands in place of fans, no thanks.

Yes the SEC has performed better for sometime, but add Clemson and an FSU that is very close to repairing the damage done in the Bowden years and there will be some debate in the future concerning those two leagues. Right now Phil Steele rates the FSU defensive line as number one in the nation. I think we can play with bama right now and we will get a chance too under the new XII/SEC bowl plan possibly.

Good! I’m tired of all the buzz about nothing but internet rumor. I agree with Dabo that going to the Big 12 would make no sense. The only conference move that would make sense would be the SEC and that’s not going to happen any time soon. If conferences really begin to consolidate and form the super-conferences, then something like that might happen.

I have a feeling the Clemson BOT is looking a little further ahead than simply being in a church league, football wise, so we will just have to see. Clemson is a football school so I wouldn’t expect them to fold tent and become a basketball entity.

Remember back in May when Bowlsby said:

Yeah, he just took office today.  Can’t wait to see what happens.

LMAO…so sorry to have spoken to you.  I didn’t mean to offend your delicate sensibilities. 

So you could care less about Clemson (or FSU).  So you admit that your time-wasting post trying to convince people that Clemson & FSU are better of staying where they are (using weak, & poorly reasoned arguments) & any talk to the contrary is embarrassing, was just an exercise in self-preservation.  Thank you.  It was pretty transparent, but it’s nice to see you admit it.

Okay numb-nutts, I will take the bait for this instance.  Your posts do not offend me, these blogs are likely your life, or the main part of it anyway.  I am not offended by anything that you have written to me personally, I haven’t even interacted with you that much before this topic.  However, I like your dig at my posts above.  No problem, like I told you, ‘Nuff said.  I will not respond after this.  I see you for what you are…stir things up, make a name for yourself (great accomplishment) on this board by being a smart@**, have fun.
