Under Frank McGuire…Dean Smith was laughed at as the guy who couldn’t win it all. I am not saying it is the same…I am just drawing parallels.

no I know you’re not… Every so often there’s guys that come along that can’t reach the top of the mountain… Bobby Cox, Mike, Martin, Dan Marino, Dale Earnhardt, and Dean Smith (even though I didn’t know that until you told me just now.)

It stings man… We have a banner in the outfield at Mike Martin Field that says “21 CWS Appearances”... we need to take that thing down!!!

And it doesn’t really help that this is coming from a guy who has seen his school win 5 ships…. You hurt my feelings.
