Didn’t know the big east put 70 on the ACC last year. Were entire conferences playing? Calling off the dogs…no way. That was WVU getting revenge for getting snubbed for membership. A realignment beatdown if you will.

The facts don’t back your argument about not being the worst BCS conference…not that the ACC was great. It wasn’t and trailed the MWC thanks to Boise St, but better than the Big East who trailed CUSA.

A. We didn’t get snubbed by the ACC. Only in your world we did. In reality we didn’t wait.

Yeah you are in a league a 1000 miles away because you had a choice. No way you wanted to be in a conference with VT, Maryland, Pitt and UVA who are all your regional rivals. That makes too much sense. WVU is too good for that. Iowa St is who you wanted to have as your closest rival. Makes sense.

Yeah you are in a league a 1000 miles away because you had a choice. No way you wanted to be in a conference with VT, Maryland, Pitt and UVA who are all your regional rivals. That makes too much sense. WVU is too good for that. Iowa St is who you wanted to have as your closest rival. Makes sense.

The dude is a sham. He’s been banned from most of the WVU credible sites. That’s your first mistake, listening to him. Secondly, what you think about our move into the Big 12 is irrelevant. Additionally, again, you don’t know what you’re talking. We’ve tried to schedule VT for years, they refuse. As for MD, Pitt and UVA…. we will continue to play MD and likely Pitt. You can have UVA although we could end up playing them also.

I don’t know what the head to head record of the Big East vs the ACC was. I don’t really care. But I do know my team, the Big East champs destroyed your champ in what is considered the worst beat down in BCS history. At the same time, your other team, VT, was getting beat also.

This was a tired argument last year, and the year before and before that. We’ve moved on, and you should also. Really SoPines, get over it. Take Pitt and Syracuse, while you have them anyway, and build your league. Good luck with that. By the way, Pitt has sold 6800 season tickets.

I’ve always believed that WVU was negotiating with the ACC behind closed doors, and that the ACC made it clear that they didn’t want us in.  You might have some evidence, TB12, to prove me wrong… but I think it’s a lot of speculation both ways.

I don’t feel ashamed that the ACC didn’t want us… I think it was a bad choice on their part.  Sure, our academics aren’t at the level of UNC or Pittsburgh, but I think our school has a lot to offer especially in the way of athletics.

Since I live in Colorado, I much much much prefer WVU being in the Big XII because it makes it easier for me to get cheap direct flights.  I only wish Colorado University was still part of the Big XII so I could catch WVU visiting here in Boulder maybe every other year.

In the end, it’s looking more and more like this was good fortune for WVU… so to the ACC I say “screw ‘em”.  Well wishes to them, but we might be better off this way.  Things work out for a reason.

I think that is fairly recognized as true and generally accepted that FSU was for WVU coming into the ACC and from what they say possibly Louisville instead of the other two schools in order to beef up football.

TB12 you are a smart dude and you know what you are saying. You obviously love your school…but you can’t have it both ways…you take a shot at a conference, then when I call you on it and say the ACC was actually higher ranked, you say all I care about is my team. YOUR HANDLE USED TO BE TBE. Of course you care about the conference. And of course that score was run up for a reason. If you could have scored 100 you would have. Your president has taken shots at the ACC. Of course there are hard feelings. Pitt and Cuse were invited to the ACC before you were in the Big 12 so it had nothing to do with waiting. It was rejection.

I agree with you that the Dude is a sham. It is a couple of others on here who post that seems to buy him hook, line and sinker.

I agree with fiercy and Sem that WVU should be in the ACC. You should not look back and good luck in the big 12. The only thing I can figure is that ESPN told the conference that Pitt and Cuse would bring more TV markets and therefore dollars. Of course maybe VT was the veto. Who knows. I would like to find out the whole saga someday but I am not anti-WVU. I do think there are a lot of WVU fans who are now anti-ACC and I guess for good reason, and that is where all this Clemson and FSU to the big 12 stuff came from.

If anybody thinks the dude is the only source for much of this information out there they need to get out more. He simply echoes what many more people are leaking.

It was the board of trustees at FSU who said the ACC contract was outrageous and FSU was way past time looking for new options. That wasn’t the dude.

If the dude says it is raining outside and you look outside and it is raining, well it had nothing to do with the dude, it is just raining. It is so easy.

This all began with the Dude and you know it. Hell you cited it first before your admin went haywire.

So you see the dude was putting it out there before it was mentioned by the bot so that in itself provides some cred for the boy.

I give the Dude credit in that he has DRIVEN the news. He has created reality. It truly is amazing and I mean that seriously…

BTW I see there is full panic going on with all the big 12 stuff on a WVU message board. Of course all this has the same credibility of the Dude…none.
