Let’s see if we as a collective can come up with a good computer ranking criteria for my rankulator program. There are dozens of categories that I can assign different weights to, but to simplify it I list just these 9 and I can post the results going all the way back to the 1998 season. Just give me a percentage for the following categories:

ALL GAMES
1 Win Percentage
2 Points scored
3 Points allowed

VS BCS TEAMS
4 Win Percentage
5 Points scored
6 Points allowed

SOS
7 Opponents record
8 Oppo-Oppo record
9 Away wins

lets try SOS and BCS both at 25% and all games at 50%
within all games and BCS Points scoreed and points allowed are both 25% and win% is 50%
in SOS opponents record should be 60%, opp-opp record 20%, and away wins 20%

All Games=50%
    win%-25%
    points allowed-12.5%
    points scored 12.5%
BCS=25%
    BCS allowed 6.25%
    bcs scored 6.25%
    bcs win%-12.5%
SOS=25%
    opp record-15%
    opp-opp record=5%
    away wins-5%

The categories in ALL CAPS can’t have weight, just the 9 sub-categories.
