Not any more than it obviously does for you to admit where you went to school. I guess it must have been pretty SUCKY based on your response. Some of us studied hard to go to our dream schools.

Enjoy the Big 12. You obviously know more than EVERYONE who runs your school you didnt go to.

Full disclosure: I have a computer certification from Sandhills Community College in Southern Pines, NC. You can believe that or not. I dont care.

Huh?  I’ve already said where I went to school.  I guess you conveniently overlooked it.  Oh here it is, I’m sure you skipped over that one http://www.southernpigskin.com/forums/viewthread/8657/P15/#59327 Midlands Tech right here in Columbia with an Associate degree in Criminal Justice, who cares?  Not sure what you are trying to do other then throw out insults to try and degrade me or anyone else that you feel isn’t as good.  Whats this got to do with you being an ACC homer that can’t stand to hear anyone bad mouthing your beloved dream conference anyway?

If you’re happy with good enough, then good enough is what you’ll be. Greatness requires the expectation of excellence.  Obviously you are happy with good enough for UNC.  Have fun.

Yep…good enough is what we accept at Carolina. I think you need to do a little reaseach on universities before you further show your ignorance.

Also on your collegiate conferences.

More on the Orange Bowl from dummies that just dont’ have all the insider knowledge that flows to non graduate Clemson fans who know it all. God these legitimate reporters are idiots.  How can they even write/say this stuff? It is obvious based on Scout/Rivals/Baylor/Texas sites that everyone loves the Big 12. Just don’t tell Mizzou/TAMU/Nebraska or Colorado. They just didn’t get the memo that everything the ACC does is stupid. Kansas/Iowa is such a better place to be.

The orange bowl is going to make a little money for members of the ACC but there again it is not going to be as much money as the real conferences. The ACC is behind the big 4 in TV money, tier 3 money, CCG money, and it will be behind in playoff money when they begin. The ACC loses on all fronts.

It is not heaven on earth and angels are not running the show. Logic is your friend. We cannot all be students of logic but we should at least strive to be a casual fan. GMOs are banned in 50 countries, we cannot even get them labeled as we continue to dance with the elephant in the room. With each new dog and pony show we dance the dance like we were the homecoming queen.

If you mean behind the Big 10, SEC and Pac 12 then I agree.

The Big 12 with 10 teams conference you want to join not so much. Cant be behind them in Championship game money cause they dont have one. Has not been behind them in conference revenue EVER, and yet to see a new TV deal but the reports of it at 2.6 billion mean AT BEST it is equal to the ACC per school. Definitely not ahead of it.

Only you would want to leave to go to a worse geographic and financial situation.

So back to the real task at hand.

ND has said it has indeed had talks with the ACC about the Orange Bowl.  Which basically means they are a lock for the match up assuming they meet a certain record every year.  Guess whos not happy?  Yes, me.  If ND could go 10+ wins consistently then sure, that might calm me down some…..but lets be realistic here.  ND hasn’t finished ranked in the AP poll since 2006!!  They haven’t had a 10 win season since the early Charlie Weis era in 2006.  Willingham got 1 10 win season his first year in 2002 then tanked.  Before that it was the early 90s when they had their last 10-11 win seasons under Holtz.

But hey, its ok because they are the all mighty ND.  We’ll settle again.  At least we have more of a shot now since ND is 2-8 in bowl games since Holtz.  Still mighty ND huh?

And what if ND does not qualify to play that year?  Then what?  Big East again?  This match up does not excite me at all, doesn’t matter how you slice it.  I’d rather settle for Garrett’s B1G solution then this.  And thats IF I had to choose between only these two options.  And honestly I’d rather have the B1G #2 before ND.

Also, I can’t wait to see how much Swofford promised ND to sign onto this game.  Does that mean they get a % of the money playing or not playing??  Can’t wait to see.

How bout highest rated team outside the playoff. The other bowls are obligated to champions of those 4 conferences if not the playoff.

Clemson would have played Boise last year. I just don’t see why you think this is a bad deal.
