“The Big 12 and ESPN are delaying finalizing their TV contract as negotiations are ongoing between ND, NBC and ESPN. Once agreed upon, ND will join the Big 12 with it’s olympic sports and it’s football program in 2016. FSU will declare to the ACC and then be invited and will join the Big 12 for the 2014 season. The Big 12 will NOT have a CCG until 2016.”
For the time being all sources will still have to maintain radio silence.
Oh I see…a blogger quoting a blogger quoting a blogger. From Texas too. Good source
The Big 12 has no edge on the ACC in revenues and will not in the future.
Since 2008 the ACC has distributed 6.5 million dollars MORE per school than the Big 12!!!!!
Wake up dude, you have been played by a bunch of morons who know they are in an unstable conference.
Pines I don’t mean this in a bad way but at this point, most anyone on the net who can type has more credibility than you. I believe if someone saw a hidden script on a jacket from the movie Pumpkinhead and blew it up with a black light in order to read it, I would give it more credit than anything you are pumping out! LOL
Rumors Rumors Rumors….they have become quite a killjoy…...It is like having a relative come to your home to visit and stays a week longer than you want and you cannot wait for them to leave.
I am now in football mode!....I have 4 Tickets to the Clemson/Auburn game and I really am checking out on this alignment gibberish….
I will say my last words on this subject by saying that Notre Dame would be foolish to go to the Big 12 and I believe that will not happen…....Even the former ACC Commission/Notre Dame AD Gene Corrigan says that if Notre Dame has to join a league that the ACC would be the best fit:
Corrigan is quite a bit more of an insider than most and I put a little more credence into his “theories” than most bloggers rumors.
If there is any more alignment involving FSU, I would guess FSU would go to the Big12 and Notre Dame would come to the ACC and the League would just keep moving along….....I don’t think FSU will go to the Big12 However. The more I read about the new playoff deal and how the ACC real has control over the Orange Bowl the more comfortable I am feeling with the ACC…...As much as pains me to say it, Swofford has done a damn fine job of holding the ACC together…..If he can just take care of the internal issues like the quality of officiating then our league could finally get some traction.
And it looks like Clemson wants to relegate itself to crappy football and athletics in general for decades to come. Let me tell you how overjoyed I’m feeling….....but we got the Orange Bowl WOO HOO…...
I wish they would just make it simple and get FSU and Clemson in there in 2013. Frankly I rather have Clemson than Notre Dame. It would help expand the footprint in the south regardless of Notre Dame’s heralded national following. I would hate to see this thing drag out until 2014.
Have to see how it plays out. I really believe the big 12 will go to 14 and Clemson and another will come in. Stiff upper lip, remember 4 teams won’t sign the GOR.
So just to be clear, I post you the ACTUAL REVENUE THAT SHOWS THAT THE ACC MAKES WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY MORE THAN THE BIG 12 and you respond with conjecture and message board nonsense but I have no credibility.
Tuxedo Yoda ?@TuxedoYoda
FSU now has a pretty good idea what its Tier 3 content is worth. Once that info goes public, those who argued for staying will look silly.
So I ask again and yet to get an answer. What are the tier 3 games that you speak of? Savannah St? Amazing yall are experts and cant even say what Tier 3 games are.
Any games not selected by the conference tv partner. These can be football, basketball, soccer, baseball…..whatever. Is it that hard to understand? All that money going to waste. Also can be included are radio rights, coaches shows, pre/post game, and online/website content.
Money that we aren’t seeing because the ACC gave it to ESPN cheap.
