Nope. Not hard to understand at all. Except I asked which games in particular. The only one having trouble here is you. Now I will ask again in terms for you to understand? Which games does ESPN not want to televise that somebody else does? I will answer for you. There are none.

ESPN WILL TELEVISE EVERY SINGLE ACC GAME. PERIOD. NATIONWIDE. The Savannah States and Woffords of the world get on ESPN. Without the deal you hate so much they would be on the radio soley. Kind of like your future big 12 dream matchup of TCU and Clemson a couple of seasons ago. And you see this as a bad deal. Is it that hard to understand?

3.4 billion is cheap huh? Right.

I have no inside info. I do not freguent Rivals or Scout sites. I’m just going to go out on a limb and say ND isn’t going to the Big 12. The reasons are many. They have no need for the gobs of money the Big12 is throwing around, and they aspire to be in a conference ONLY for bball, and olympic sports. The Big 12 does not sponsor soccer, lacrosse, or field hockey. ND fields teams in these sports. Why would they join a conference only to not have games set up for the teams they join a conference for? That idea smacks in the face of reality. It really does. I’ve reached to point that I could really care less where FSU and Clemson play. I’m just going to call bull$h#t when I see it. I don’t care what a Rivals or Scout “reporter” has to say about it. They all have about as much credibility as my dog…. none.

I’ll also add… it’s been FSU and Clemson to the Big12 for this coming year, and now it’s next year. What will it be next year? 2015? We are all waiting… not really. I’ve written here my interest in all of this is UNC, and that they’d go down with the ship if the ACC were to sink. Well, the ACC is not going to sink. The fact is they have the ESPN deal, and now an exclusive deal with one of the most tradition rich bowl games in existence. The BCS money is no more. It’s now playoff money. The Orange Bowl is guaranteed a semi game in 4 out of every 6 seasons. That is money the ACC is get a part of. That’s pretty close to solid for me.

I’m quite lucky. I have a lovely wife, two great kids and an ever improving golf game.

I guess that community college didn’t teach you that a “reported” (not confirmed btw) 2.4 billion is less than 3.4 billion. Keep showing us how much you know.Idiot.

I’ll take that as a concession. It’s alright dude. I am sure you will win some in the future. Clemson will beat Carolina in lots of games in lots of sports in ACC competition, outside of basketball in Chapel Hill, and I am sure you will be the first to rub my face in it. Waiting with baited breathe by the computer for the final whistle.

UNC98/SoPines…I am with you guys here.  UNC98, your post mirrors my thoughts on all of this…all of this blogging B.S. (FSU/Clemson are really jumping ship this time!).  I am responding to you guys to say, I am in your corner.  This entire escapade of posting (by some of our site-mates)  “cute” little posters of Swofford, the ACC… the Big XII, it’s just gotten out of hand on this site and I am almost ready to check out and go elsewhere (I am sure that I am welcome to do so).

Bottom line, I like the rationale that you guys bring to the table.  Right or wrong, you guys present your case with class unless your pushed.  Stick to your guns.  There will be a couple (2-3 likely) of posters that will be eating some major crow soon and I do not think that it will be either of you.

Thanks bro…I appreciate the support and before anyone gets the wrong idea that I hate Clemson or FSU or some crap like that I will say that I like ALL the schools of the ACC. I am an SC native, have a brother that went to FSU and would probably have gone to Clemson or The Citadel if not Carolina.  I am glad VT is in the conference and I think Pitt and Cuse will blend in over time.

At the same time I am not just all about the conference. I am pro UNC above all else. I dont get the SEC…SEC…SEC chants where loser schools claim superiority because they are in an association with better schools that win more. I do like the collegiality that SEC schools seem to have though despite nothing in common between a South Carolina and a Texas A&M. I contend the ACC has the same thing among admins but has alot of idiot fans who can’t stand that their schools dont win like they should and are jealous of their rivals. The media contributes to this. That is why I call them out.

The thing I do like about the ACC though is that ALL the ACC schools are pretty good at something both in sports and academically. NO OTHER CONFERENCE CAN SAY THAT.  The geography makes sense and the schools are by in large like minded. I love the fact that the ACC is 9 contiguous states up and down the largest population corridor in the country. Win some big games and the ACC is strategically positioned to be a top athletic and academic association.

I get that I may come off as a bit arrogant when dealing with a certain someone on here but sometimes some people need to be put in their place when they keep baiting me and telling me that my school and conference suck. Any grad of a school with a long and proud tradition like Clemson should be insulted that a NON-GRADUATE community college jackass should be putting Clemson down for its choices, and trying to speak in the name of Clemson when it is clear the path that the coaching staff and admin have chosen is to stay in the ACC. If other Clemson fans on here are insulted by me then I am sorry. I mean nothing to Clemson as a school or football team.

I hope all of the non-football news of this summer goes along way to making the ACC and all of college football better as a result.

You two need to get a bedroom.  Getting waaay too personal on the attacks over hypotheticals.

I’m pretty sure all this will work out the way it’s going to work out, despite your arguments here on this hidden little corner of the Internet.

Uh oh, pines is playing the idiot card! LOL

It is impossible to be offended by pines, he has such a limited comprehension of expansion the first thought is usually one of pity.

Fiercy…who needs to get a room?  I just want to ensure that you are not lumping UNC 98/SoPines/Myself into that statement.  Just asking…

I think he did too. You are right. It is too personal and I will back down. I just get tired of hearing how everything the conference my school is in sucks and everything is awful, there is no chance for anyone to succeed, we suck, North Carolina sucks etc…etc…

It gets old and I have tried to show it is not true.

KU made 28 million dollars last year, FSU made 16 million. If FSU would happen to win the NC in 2012 it would still make 12 million less than KU of the Big 12.

What is so hard for you to understand, a sixth grader could understand it.

According to Ingram Smith the Big 12 teams last year would have raked in $11.4 mill while ACC teams would have made $2.5 mill if the playoff structure had been in place.  If that is even close to accurate, then the gap is more like a chasm. That’s almost $9 mill difference in bowl revenue alone. Bowl revenue! The SEC and Big 12 have teamed up to own their own bowl and keep the money. This is going to big a big money event designed to match the PAC 12-Big 10 alliance. It is also going to marginalize and freeze out further the ACC. There is going to be a big 4 and if you are school is not in it, you might want to take up another hobby other than watching football.

What is your source that KU made 28 million from TV? That is a ridiculous number. I posted you the revenue comparison from a legitimate source. The ACC schools made 6.5 million more than the Big 12 on average.

The Big 10 schools made 22 million. They are the highest paid due to Big 10 network. KU DID NOT MAKE 28 Million from TV. Quit making stuff up
