Along with FSU is probably the best in the ACC. When I was watching the NCSU Spring game, there was one player (besides Amerson) that really stood out on the field, a freshman named Tyrrell Burriss. Not highly rated by the scouting services, but the kid was fast and was hitting hard.

Pretty excited about the secondary this year.  This is the most experienced secondary I can remember, and we will need them to help out the young linebackers.  Like you mentioned, there are a few promising young dbs coming up as well that can hopefully get some experience for the future.

State is gonna be good and OBrien will continue his history of proving the scouting services wrong. The weakness will be the LB corps though so running teams are gonna beat NCSU. Passing teams will struggle no doubt and the ACC is stronger at QB than RB this year.

Surprisingly, NC State finished in the middle of the pack nationally in pass defense despite leading the country in interceptions. From watching almost all of NC State’s games last year, I would say a lot of that had to do with their agressiveness. It seemed to me that their DB’s take a lot of risks. Obviously it works out for them a lot, but when it doesn’t, they get burned for big plays. I think the interception numbers will probably come down a bit this year, but the group as a whole will be extremely solid.

I dont like Tenuta. I dont see why he is considered so great. I think he is overly aggressive and for every big play they make, the give up a big play. It was that way at Carolina, GT and now NCSU.

I know he is not the secondary coach or coordinator but I think the d takes his lead.
