Which teams do you think have the best chance of going undefeated this year?
What are their stumbling blocks?

So Cal or Oregon in the west until or if they meet an SEC team in BCS. SEC is too tough for anyone to get through unscathed. OK possible from the BIG XII but they won’t beat a SEC team either. I don’t think FSU, CU or VT are good enough to come out undefeated. We may have a OSU, BSU, Louisville type catch a genie in a bottle.

Apparently, you have not read The SEC Homer Handbook.  It’s right there on page 1, rule 5:  No SEC team could possibly win every game*because the SEC is tougher than the AFC North.  Their players are so big, fast, and strong that other conferences’ teams bring 3 pr of game pants when they play an SEC team, in case one or more are ruined by repeated self-crappage.
If an SEC team does in fact lose to an OOC team, as unlikely as that is, rule 5 is to be invoked to justify defeat by noting that said losing team’s brutal conference schedule has beaten down and worn out that team to the point of no longer being competitive.  There have been whole starting line-ups that could no longer tie their own shoes by season’s end.

*SEC teams that go undefeated shall be deemed demi-gods, because only super-human beings could attain such seemingly impossible success

Weird that a team seems to run the table in the SEC every year. Several others have only one loss…

I think either Oregon or USC will go undefeated. I also think FSU has a pretty decent shot.

USC and LSU will run the table, UGA has a shot to sneak up on a lot of people’s radar with their schedule….they’ll find a place in the SEC title game this year if they don’t blow it.

WVU is my darkhorse.  Loaded with talent returning, playing a tougher schedule that will get them noticed and votes, and they will also sneak up on people.  Especially with that offense in the Big 12.

I just don’t see UGA doing it…Southern Cal yes and the winner of the FSU vs VT game maybe…

Thats why I threw in the if they don’t blow it.  They always seem to somehow.  Their schedule is paved in gold this year.  No Bama, no Arkansas, no LSU, USCjr later in the year (Oct), GT at home, always can go toe to toe with Florida….paved in gold.

UGA also has georgia southern right before the GT game, so a virtual bye to prep for the option, and it wont hurt them in the least because prep for the option is 90% fundamentals and discipline which is usually a good thing to practice right before going into a game where your heavily favored.

Wisconsin. DOB won’t be Wilson, but he’ll be closer to 2010 DOB than 2011 DOB.

Road games are Oregon State, Purdue, Nebraska, Indiana and Penn State. Michigan State and Ohio State come to Madison and there is no Michigan or Iowa. Pretty cushy.
