Not being able to easily find a depth chart for some teams. The first place I usually look is at the Rivals and Scout boards because you can easily look up many teams rosters/dept charts right there in one convienent database.

In the ACC, half if not more of the teams have outdated informatiom, some going back two years. You would think a site that makes its living on subscribers would at least do that, it really should not take that long to update something from year to year if you just keep up with it.

During the season most school sites have depth charts that they update weekly.  This time of year depth charts are pretty much useless because A. the incoming freshman class is largely not in school, thus isn’t listed   and B. a lot of coaches use the post-spring depth chart as a motivational tool for summer workouts and/or a reward for a less talented player giving it his all during spring practice.

But not to be updated in 2 years is inexcusable. Even with no information to go on, I think most of the sites can come up with something close to being accurate for the start of the season.

My advice would be to invest in a preseason magazine. Many of those have accurate depth charts.
