I call this bunch that since they seem to have a lot of it thinking they could take on the originals. 11 of 12 92 guys were HOFers. I don’t think it would be that close of a game. Dream Team would win big. Huge overall advantage in the paint and in team shooting.

I think it would be closer than people think. The 92 team would win but I think within 10 points. The 2012 team is athletic. Think about who would be matched up. 92: PG - Magic, SG - Jordan, SF - Pippen, PF - Malone, C - Ewing. Projeted starting lineup 2012: PG - Chris Paul, SG - Kobe, SF - Durant, PF - Lebron, C - Tyson Chandler. The 2012 team is very very athletic. It is hard to speculate exactly how the game would go if you were to literally take the 92 team in 92 and bring them to the olympics this year. You have to think about this matchup as the 92 version of the 92 olympic team and forget about what happened between 92-present (Jordans/Pippens success with the bulls, Ewing becoming a HOF player, Malone becoming a HOF player, Barkley starring in a kids animated movie etc)

I agree. It’s pretty much over once you look at the centers - including Barkley makes the inside game pretty tough for the young guns.

Biggest differences, in my opinion, are post play and depth. The 1992 team was much better in the front court and was also much deeper. I think it would be close for awhile, but the Dream Team would ultimately prevail.
