How do you rank players from last year, many who will not be around this year? Of course most of last year’s players at FSU will still be around. Also I don’t think you can factor in Manuel and Greene being automatically injured this year.

Or Haulstead and a plethora of olinemen.

I better not hear about one injury this year from FSU, because all I’ve heard is how deep your team is.  So any injury excuses this year won’t fly.  Good teams find ways to win that’s all i’m saying!

FSU does have more depth than last season but the starters are starters for a reason. They’re the better player at that position. I’m pretty sure if the starting QB for any team goes down early, that team isn’t the same with the back-up coming in off the bench, right? But in the same breath, i highly doubt that FSU sees as many injuries this season as they did last. Last season was just an anomaly as far as injuries are concerned.

For example, look at ‘09 OU. Bradford goes down in the 1st game, Gresham missed the entire season with an injury and the Sooners went from title contenders to finishing 8-5

Every team has “issues”; FSU hasn’t run the ball worth a crap in 10+ years (or so it seems). Clemson (I’m a big Clemson fan) always has one or two glaring weaknesses (OL, DL this year), VT has lost a lot of star-players, Ga Tech is tough to read until they find another Nesbitt, NCSU had twice the injuries of any other team last year. Miami, UVA, UNC all have some talent but seem to be hot and cold.

Schedule is a huge part of this and Clemson has the toughest road of the top 3 mentioned. NCSU has the easiest by a good bit. So, it is always fun but impossible to know how the teams will ultimately play.

Talent-wise and based upon a gut, here are mine:

1-Clemson
2-FSU
3-VT
4-NCSU
5-GT
6-UNC
7-Miami
8-UVA
9-WFU
10-Maryland
11-Duke
12-BC

False. Actually, FSU rushed for 2400 yards (171 avg.) in ‘10.

Clemson rushed for 1807 yards in 2010 the year FSU rushed for 2400. Of course it is not unusual for football fans to not have the vaguest idea what they are talking about. Guess work and emotion are much easier than fact.

It is not heaven on earth and angels are not running the show. Logic is your friend. We cannot all be students of logic but we should at least strive to be a casual fan. GMOs are banned in 50 countries, we cannot even get them labeled as we continue to dance with the elephant in the room. With each new dog and pony show we dance the dance like we were the homecoming queen.
