Tuition or Expansion?  They used the term, “major”.  Is it time??  It comes after the first day of the scheduled BOT meeting.

Clemson announces they will leave the ACC with Florida State.

I can’t get to excited yet.  You know I’m personally hoping for that Sem…just holding it in for now.  Could be as simple as tuition increase.  What gets me is the “Major” part.

FWIW David Hood of Tigernet says it’s about the Will to Lead campaign.

Yeah I saw that.  Not a fan.  Bright side is, if they can raise $600mil for that, then an ACC buyout is chump change.

The buyout is not a big deal, at the least the Big 12 throws in 10 million from the Miss and A&M exit fees, the school pays 5 million and one million taken a year for five years until it is paid. That is if the schools don’t out and out threaten to sue crime boss Swofford for collusion with Raycom

I feel dirty having the slime ball on Clemson campus, and I’m 2 hours away.  Its a shame that Swofford is there the weekend of our 5 star summit.  Rumor is he is meeting with the BOT on a “number of topics”.  Our BOT has talked about expansion the last 2 meetings, this one shouldn’t be any different.  I just hope they aren’t listening to the BS Swofford is spewing.

Getting closer to the August 15th deadline. Crime boss Swofford is putting it in high gear.

“Swofford was at one time behind an ACC attempt to add to NCAA sanctions against Clemson, back-in-the-day. It failed as I recall but several board members at Clemson have long memories and detest Swofford for this. As well this is a general anger from Clemson over adding Pitt and ‘Cuse while snubbing WVU and thus weakening the revenue potential of the conference.

All the smug pro-ACC trolls who materialized on our board a couple months back….have been lying through their anuses (as usual) about Clemson wanting to stay in the ACC. Swofford asked for this meet in a desperate attempt to keep football-centric schools on-board. Clemson is every bit as pissed as FSU over the crappy TV contract negotiated by Swofford. Swofford ASKED to appear at this gathering….think about it…that is significant.

My guess: the outcome of this meeting will go a long way to determining whether the ACC gets picked apart in the near future…or not. Long-term the strong conferences will come after ACC teams IMO. They will get pretty much who they want, barring some extraordinary concessions by the conference (unequal revenue sharing, etc.) And maybe adding ND to ALL-SPORTS (yeah good luck with that).

Hearing that the ACC expansion is Swofford’s way of covering up his last ditch effort to save Clemson.  And in relation to ND as a full member, which won’t happen but its Clemson’s way of saying….hey we tried and that’s our demands.  He scheduled this meeting months ago, and had it land on the regularly scheduled board meeting.

What I wouldn’t GIVE to let all of this bust open right before media day, OH MY GOD that would be freaking AMAZING.  Can you imagine the tension in the air at media day?  I would sell my soul….

Maybe it turns out to be nothing, its just interesting all the smoke coming up lately.  And interesting the ACC commish would go infront of a school’s board like this.

Interesting fact.  Champions bowl contract requires a CCG for each conference.  The Big 12 WILL expand by 2014.
