Looks like as recent as this May this issue was discussed. Apparently a “Super Majority” supported the 9 game schedule. It probably doesn’t take A rocket scientist to take an educated guess at what schools voted in favor.
If the ACC doesn’t take steps in the scheduling to accommodate the Football schools with the ACC schedule, you are basically daring them to find a better deal if one comes along.
