I saw this article on orange&white; and it kinda surprised me.  Will anyone really be sad to see him go?  Where would we go looking if he does leave?

Brad has been involved with our AD for a while now….I’m sure he will get a look.  Not sure I’d turn my nose up at it yet either.  He would be a much better AD then he was a coach.

No idea on real candidates.

Honestly this does not surprise me. Terry Don is frankly bad news, very archaic. I don’t say this in the vein that FSU has produced great leadership itself.

Goin at FSU decided FSU did not need to go into the SEC after listening of course to Bowden. The Sandy D’Alemberte, a (gator grad) and president of FSU signed off on Bowden hiring his son Fredo. Then T.K. Wetherell (played for Bowden) decided he was more AD than president kept Bobby on much longer than he should have. I can’t prove it but I think he again fired Dave Hart one of the best ADs we ever had because he mentioned it might be time for BB to depart. He is now at Tennessee. We now have Spetman who is also a loser and actually had Christian Ponder announce Bowden’s firing. He won’t be there long. Then there is our new boy Eric Barron, who was taken off balance when the BOT said yeah it is time to look into the Big 12.

Barron had some bizarre emails he was sending out and actually knocked the Big 12 academics. Yeah that is right, the same Big 12 the BOT, his bosses were telling him it was time to look into this conference.

TDP seems cut from the same cloth if you ask me, a boy who has reached his expiration date.

Many times schools look to old coaches and alumni and many times it does not work out. Best to get yourself a high powered one who knows what his is doing, (Bowlsby) and has had experience. Ford is too old anyway. Clemson needs a young dynamic guy and they have the money.

In fact when Clemson was looking to replace Bowden, I said it right here, if they were smart they would hire Holgorsen. That is a fact. Was I wrong?

Maybe I should throw my hat in for Clemson AD.

Tom Jurich at Louisville would make sense. Former SMU AD Steve Orsini would also.

Take Spetman, he is up for grabs as far as I am concerned. Seriously there are rumors FSU is going to fire him, that comes from TN.

We need someone that’s not afraid of change and will truly look out for Clemson’s future.

So TDP will be announcing his retirement tomorrow, meaning we can start looking for an AD tomorrow.  Anyone have a short list?  I honestly wouldn’t know where to start.

I had mentioned above that I think Louisville’s Tom Jurich and former SMU AD Steve Orsini would be strong candidates. There’s a guy at Houston named Mack Rhoades who’s young but on the rise. NIU’s Jeff Compher has done a nice job and has ties to the East Coast. We’ll see. As far as internal candidates or No. 2 guys at other schools, I can’t offer much.
