I will give you the Phil Steele breakdown, some hits and some misses.
Ray Ray first team LOL, he has been dismissed already.
“Phil Steele released his All-ACC projection today. 20 Noles made at least one of his four teams, which leads the conference by 50% over Clemson (13). FSU came in second with five first-teamers (Clemson had six).”
Now as far as freshman, Mario Pender has a shot here if the hip gets better in time. Benjamin has a shot, if Manuel goes down, Jacob Coker, Mario Edwards, Keelin Smith, Tyler Hunder, Waisome,
They have a shot but all depends on how much they play.
P-Cason Beatty
DE-Mario Edwards
WR-Kelvin Benjamin
Is Edwards projected to start? How much PT will Goldman get? He looks college-ready to me.
Edwards won’t be starting but will see his share of PT to prepare him for ‘13. Not sure how much PT Goldman will see because the DT spot is so deep, for example, former 5* DT senior Jacobbi McDaniel is 3rd right now at the NG spot behind McCloud and Jernigan.
Logan Thomas first team, sorry that is way off. He won’t come close to a healthy Boyd or Manuel. Tanner Price isn’t bad either.
Are we assuming the types of numbers he’ll put up in VT’s system? I think if he was at Clemson or FSU he’d put up more impressive numbers than Boyd or EJ.
If you consider the offensive line, the play calling, and the skill position players I think he is a bit handicapped at VT :D I think VT’s offense is too predictable and then they get “cute” at the wrong time… But as far as raw skills, physical attributes, and potential… I think he outclasses everyone in the ACC
With Blair Holliday’s head injury and Brandon Braxton moving to safety, one of our young WR’s is going to have to step up. I think either Nick Hill or Anthony Nash would be a candidate for this list.

I keep reading alot of excitement about Max McCaffrey also.
Michael Holmes will rush for 1,000 yrds as a RS freshman because that’s what VT RBs do.
Kyshoen Jarrett will be a force at FS as a RS Fr because that’s what DBs at VT are. We’re not Def Back Univ for no reason.
What?? I’ve never heard Virginia Tech called Defensive Back University in my life… FSU has a better pedigree of DBs than VT.
LOL. Sure, dude. Whatever you say. Deion Sanders is retired, FYI.
Every Safety and CB that has started at VT except two (Steven Virgil and Davon Morgan) has been drafted and/or played in the NFL since 1999. Not make some BS practice squad or sign some FA contract just to be cut but actually been drafted and/or played in a NFL game.
Okay well let’s throw HOF “Prime” out since he’s doesn’t count… Terrell Buckley, Samari Rolle, Antonio Cromartie, Mario Edwards, Chris Hope, Michael Boulware, Dexter Jackson(Super Bowl MVP), Bryant McFadden… what you got??
