Greg Reid is dismissed from the team… Sammy Watkins doesn’t miss a game… and he had pills too.
Nice try. He was arrested last year for perjury, but the charges were later dropped. He did receive one-game suspension.
This isn’t Reid’s first offense. After Sammy Watkins was arrested, the next day he owned up and took total responsibly for his actions and has been doing everything and more required of him since his may Arrest.
If Watkins screws up again, then we will see Mr. straw man
immediate difference: Reid denied posession in his police report, Watkins immediatly owned up to it, and received comments from the arresting officers about how cooperative and courteous he was.
small comfort i know
but think of it this way. If youre a great employee and you get caught with weed, they are way more likely to let you off the hook if they dont catch you lying about it too. Lying is worse than just about anything else you could do short of hurting someone else.
Okay I see.. so when your entire season depends on the player, it’s okay to smoke weed with zero penalty whatsoever… desperate much??
Until the season starts there’s no opportunity for punishment unless Dabo wants to give Sammy the Spurrier treatment and have him sit out some of fall camp (which also hasn’t started yet)... ignorant much??
No you’re right… He was courteous to the cops… For that… you get to play against Auburn.
In most case pertaining to problems with the law, a person that admits guilt when guilty that is respectful to law enforcement and the judge is usually going to get a far less severe punishment than one that gets caught, lies can repeatedly get into trouble.
I guess you are not capable of seeing the difference because you are scared to death that Sammy Watkins is going to torch FSU’s secondary again.

Its hard to torch a secondary when your quarterback is the dirt.

Based on What assumption? FSU’s defense was ranked 5th when we played you guys last year.
Ridiculous that Watkins will play versus Auburn. Regardless of comparisons to Reid.
Reid got what he deserved. These kids will learn (Greg Reid, Michael Dyer, Baccarri Rambo…and the list goes on), that if you want the privilege to play football you have to act right.
and I never expected Sammy Watkins to miss the FSU game… But your season does begin and end with Sammy Watkins… So as much as you want to slam Stevie Spurrier, Dabo Sweeney is going to do the same thing to make sure he can compete with Auburn.

You’re assuming the game is going to play out the same way as last year??
This is a big hit for FSU and for Reid. These guys mess up their lives when they keep making mistakes. I saw that Michael Dyer was kicked off at Arkansas State. He’s a talented player that may have ruined his life from not learning a lesson.
