Keelin Smith will back up Xavier Rhodes as the boundary corner.

Tyler Hunter is said to fit the Nickel position best.

Nick Waisome is a possibility, but underwelming in the Spring Game and has not seen much time last season even with all of those injuries. It’s not likely going to be him.

True freshman Ronald Darby is said to have the same skills as Greg Reid as well as being a little bigger. He’s a guy that other players were raving about. Look for him to get alot of PT and he may even return punts.

Terrence Brooks is the likely replacement. He was recruited as a corner, was expected to start as a safety. The only thing keeping him at safety at the moment is Karlos Williams not having a firm grasp of the playbook….unless that just changed out of neccessity or he put in the work to finally “get” it.

I would think that Nick Waisome would be the favorite at this point. Guess we will know more in the next week or so.

My guess is Tyler Hunter… Valdosta LOWNDES

Everybody has their own opinion.

Waisome was listed as the backup last season. Would lead me to believe that he is the early favorite. I am certain that the coaches will give a multitude of players an opportunity to win the job though.

He’s also listed as the 2nd BC on the preseason depth chart this season.

All I remember is him getting smoked up in the spring game.

He got burnt on 1 play. Didn’t see him get burnt the rest of the spring game. In fact, i saw him make a few nice plays of his own, including a couple of pass breakups and a sack.

Waisome although highly rated wasn’t that impressive in the spring game. There are many options, Joyner could go there and Karlos Williams the five star to safety. Joyner however is probably to valuable to leave the safety position however as he is right up there with the honey badger. Very underrated.

I am sure with him and Hunter, Brooks, Keelin Smith, Waisome, Darby and the four star P.J. Williams coming in somebody can be found to play it. Many teams would enjoy those type options.

I like the idea of Darby myself, he runs the 4-3 forty. He is much faster than Reid ever was.
