Good… I hope you pass out and hit your head on the keyboard so we don’t have to read the nonsense you’re spewing.

Classy response. Once again way to represent. How am I spewing nonsense though?

So lets see to answer the question over the past twenty years North Carolina is 6-8 against Clemson and Clemson has 1 ACC championship to North Carolina none. Advantage Clemson? Sure. Dominance? Not quite, and seems pretty good to me for irrelevance vs the football power that Clemson is.

Also went 1-1 vs Clemson under Davis despite failing.

Sounds like the Big Least is the way to go.  So Go.  It is obvious you have it all worked out.

Here is what it is really about for FSU.  You can no longer dominate the ACC because the league caught up with your program and passed it while old man Bowden was asleep at the wheel when not playing Bingo and eating at the Piccadilly Restaurant.  So rather than attempt to return to league domination, you want to go to a league that will set your program back 10 years from where you are now.  The few Clemson fans that think this way are starting to smell the roses and realize that the ACC is a great place to be.

If FSU moves to the Big 12, they will have little chance of winning the league because Texas,OU,OSU,TCU and WVV will have a lot to say about that.

See ya on those greener pastures

FSU is working on bigger fish to fry. Reports from some of the FSU alumni who follow this closely report that Jim Delaney is a huge fan of adding FSU to the Big 10. He seems to be quite impressed that FSU is working toward AAU status. The CIC money awarded to research schools in in the billions. This would help FSU reach AAU status very rapidly.

I dont know what we are talking about anymore…I thought this thread was about how the Big East is going to get a bigger tv contract( despite that statement being refuted by the original post’s own source)

I responded to Clemson fan telling me how irrelevant North Carolina football is over the past 20 years to show that Carolina has been pretty competitive with them, and had a top 5 finish in the process, something Clemson has not had. Nothing to do with helping the ACC just refuting a shot.

As to the rest of your posts saying how awful the ACC is I say go then. Nothing is keeping you except you and the agreements you have chosen to make.

This off season has dragged on and on with a few folks on here constantly telling the rest of us how awful we are and how much better they are, and how great other places are. Fine. Show it. When you start winning all of the sudden the ACC wont be this terrible place anymore.

But it will still have a better TV contract than BOTH the Big East and the Big 12 until there is a signed contract to prove otherwise. Until then yall can keep haning on with your speculation and constantly resetting deadlines.

I am still waiting for you and the other UNC fans to be deluded.  That was the word on the street when I was lead into this board about the UNC fans.  So far all I am reading is common sense posts from you.  I can almost like a UNC fan.

Thanks man…I am really pretty agreeable and have always liked Clemson in addition to all of the other schools in the ACC, even Duke and NCSU. I get a little testy though when some on here just say negative things to be negative and I think it is too bad they constantly try to bring the board down.

I have to admit that I am also glad there are at least some Clemson fans that see the benefits about being right where they are.

I am all for Clemson getting the best “deal” if you will, but for Clemson to totally uproot itself and move into a league that is unfamiliar and not similar geographically had better be such at deal that you cannot pass up.  I have not seen anything that comes remotely close to such a deal.  I am also speaking of basketball and Olympic sports.  We literally have everything in place for the ACC to be as good as the SEC.  That is right.  I said it.  Alabama and LSU will fall eventually.  Remove those 2 teams and the SEC is not any better than other leagues.

If FSU gets over itself and start being the team it could, I could literally see Clemson, FSU and VT be as strong as LSU, Alabama and whoever is 3rd in the SEC in any given year.  As Al Davis said, just win baby.

“Clemson, FSU, and VT could be as strong as LSU, and Alabama ”  ????
I have been looking at VT lately having read some boasting by VT folk.
1-28 against top 5 teams.
48-79 against ranked teams.
HUH ?
“strong” ???
All this hot air about ten win seasons…
Alabama and Oklahoma top the list with 33 , 10+ each.
By the way , since I have been accused of not putting things in “Perspective”, you know what perspective is ?  the old “yea but” routine.
Once upon a time they played 11 games , including the bowl game , and it was good.
It was more difficult to get ten then.
And then they played 12 games . And it was good, and easier to get 10.
Now they might play 13 or 14 games in a season and I’m not sure that is good.
So now, the Tide can average 12 wins a season for four seasons, and that is good,
but, (there it is , that “but”), it is easier to get that ten win season.
But, (there it is again), IT’s WHO YOU Play !!!
NO BUTS, NO EXCUSES, play someone with a pulse !

The only thing from keeping the current top 3-4 schools from being as good nationally as any team around the league is themselves.  Of course there is a huge difference in being able to accomplish these things and actually doing it.  But jumping around to other conferences isn’t the solution.

Clemson and FSU over the next few years are in a situation where I would say there is no excuse.  Both have “rebuilt”, ranked high pre-season and aside from losing to each other should have few obstacles to big seasons over the next several years. The ACC has a very legitimate chance to have a viable BCS title game team in the next 2 seasons.  The Winner or the FSU and Clemson game should be able to run the table, especially FSU thanks to WVU dropping them.

We are now past the parity days when traditionally bad programs like Wake and Boston College put together a few good seasons making the top tier ACC schools look bad.  That situation has corrected itself.  Once UNC and Miami get past their difficult days, the ACC can be just fine.

All this” ten win ” talk…the list has 20 teams on there with ten+ win seasons.
VT is 15 th on the list.
I found three lists concerning this , one has errors.

You seem to have a thing for VT…

Is your name as in “Cubs WIN! Cubs Win!”

or

Japanese soldiers committing honor suicide?

They are overrated, every year.
I remember when VT was the homecoming game for Georgia.
The game sold out only because it was Band Day. 5,000 high school band members there .
All of a sudden they are ranked way above where they should be.
It’s not just Vt , there are others in THAT conference.
I am not a Cubs fan, and havent watched a baseball game in fifteen years.
I did live in Chicago for a while and saw games at Wrigley field, in the daytime on real grass. Vienna hotdogs at 1:30 in the afternoon, with no lights.
The 1970’s were good for sports . The Wishbone .
