After 3 weeks, for your conference (SEC and/or ACC), who is the most surprising and most disappointing player in your mind?

My picks:

SEC Most surprising: Florida RB Mike Gilislee (didnt expect him to be the leading rusher in the SEC after three weeks of play, at all…not even top 8 actually)

SEC Most disappointing: LSU DL Sam Montgomery (he may be being double teamed and such, but an odly very quiet start for the future NFL draft pick. We shall see if he breaks out versus Auburn or later in the season, or if at all?)

ACC Most disapointing: Va Tech QB Logan Thomas (lots of hype, but hasn’t been special this season. Will he turn it around?)

ACC Most surprising: Bjeorn Werner (not a complete shock, as everyone knew FSU’s defense was loaded…but dang, 6.5 sacks and 9 tackles for a loss for Werner is a ridiculous stat after 3 games that noone could have predicted)

Disappointed = David Amerson. What the hell was he doing against Tennessee?

Disappointed = The BC defense. Might have the worst defense in the ACC and that’s saying something.

Surprise = Chris Thompson. I was not sure if he would ever play another down of football again. Man is he back with a vengeance!

Surprise = Stephon Diggs. I got to see him play for the first time last week against UConn. The dude looks like he was 1 broken tackle away from taking it to the house each time he touched the ball.

I would think in the ACC the player that has surprised me would be Logan Thomas. He’s been average at best after all the preseason love. In the SEC I’m surprised how bad Arkansas is.
