No not really, Tubby’s old line assistants would not warm up to it or prepare the team where Franklin could succeed. Finally one day at practice Franklin freaked out and began coaching the offensive line, receivers, quarterbacks and everyone else to the consternation of the assistants which Tuberville would not let go and let Franklin get his own to begin with. The guy is a very good coach and now as OC at ULM they are in the top ten and that coach is being looked at by some bigger schools.
The offense was just too cutting edge for Auburn at the time and strangely they went to one about like it under Malzahn.
