Yes, you read the title correctly. I have been receiving a lot of flak on the radio for making this prediction, but I am sticking to my guns. I think that the Jackets will get it done in Athens on Saturday.

You may now read the article, and proceed with the questioning of my sanity.

You know that is not a bad article. I have said for sometime that Georgia seems to have problems with option offenses. They had a close scrap with Kentucky which also runs the option and had to come from behind. I could see this game being very close.

FSU has beaten the SEC champ at least 8 times, and we don’t even play in the SEC, lol:

1987 champs 34-6
1988 champs 13-7
1989 champs 22-14
1993 champs 33-21
1994 champs 23-17
1996 champs 24-21
2000 champs 30-7
2013 champs 34-31

The Jimbo Pistol is 5-1 vs SEC but Auburn had a moral victory, ahead at halftime. College football sees how talent is oozing into Tally and they are afraid!

I see your point and would like to see GT show up and make a game of it since they are the de facto winners of the coastal division, I just don’t see how they can hang with UGA’s superior edge in talent.

I have thought these kinds of reasons would lead to an upset in this series before and every year it just seems like UGA has better Jimmies and Joes which beat Paul Johnson’s Xs and Os.

Don’t see GT making this a game.

#1 - UGA has vastly greater talent on both sides of the ball
#2 - UGA has tremendous LB’s and they will attack the QB/RB as opposed sitting back and waiting to get faked out like my Tigers do.
#3 - GT defense is awful, maybe worse than Clemson and that’s a tough to imagine
#4 - UGA played Ga Southern last week to prepare for this game; EXACT same offense.
#5 - UGA’s running game will keep GT on the sidelines.

On paper, this doesn’t look close. Stranger things have happened but just don’t see it.

Of course UGA has superior talent but can be a very hot and cold team. See uscjr game. They were blown out.

The UGA offense had best start hot because Tech is going to score some points. Turnovers are the key here. Georgia should be able to march up and down the field on Georgia Tech also but they had best be sharp and not have many turnovers or 3 and outs.

I would not be so confident GT will score some points. BYU shut them down and UGA has more talent than they do although BYU does have a good defense.

Could GT keep it close or win? I guess but they have beaten a very average Duke team and out scored UNCs psycho team. While I don’t think UGA is a top five team, I don’t think GT is a top 40 team.

The key to beating Georgia is having a dominant defensive line…I do not believe GT has that…

Understatement of the year… Unfortunately.

Just to make sure I get this. A team in the national title talk will lose at home to a team that just got bowl eligible and has a horrible defense? I will give you credit my friend if it all goes down.

That was the one aspect of the game where it was difficult to make a compelling argument. There is no doubt that, on paper, Georgia will have a significant advantage against Tech’s defense. However, Aaron Murray has had his share of struggles in big games, and the Yellow Jackets have intercepted at least one pass in at least 10 straight games. Ultimately, I think Tech wins a mini-shootout.

I apologize to College Football for the performance today of my beloved Yellow Jackets.  You should not be subjected to this level of ineptitude when tuning in to a game between 2 D1A football teams.

That’s OK, I stopped watching about halfway through the first quarter.  That strip fumble at the 1 yd line gave me a wicked flashback to the Orange Bowl.
