The ACC Champ is contractually obligated to the Orange Bowl.

Where did you see this? The same place that says Big 12 schools make 48 million a year off tv?

Trust me I would rather watch that game too, but thanks to the stupid BCS we cannot.

This won’t happen. Kent State would play FSU in the Orange Bowl, with Louisville/Rutgers playing Florida in the Sugar Bowl.

Do you think the Sugar bowl would pick Lvl/Rut over Kent State?  Doesn’t the Orange Bowl have the last pick this year?

Why would they do that? Kent St. won at Rutgers 35-23 and at least would be a ranked team.

They also lost by 33 to 2-10 Kentucky.

So that makes picking Rutgers over Kent St. make sense?

My point is Kent State isn’t some great story of a team who had a perfect season like Utah or Boise State. They just rode an easy schedule and could be the benficiary of a silly BCS rule. They have no appeal whatsoever nationally.

Maybe sit it out for awhile Pines, you already shown the realignment discussion was way over your head for months now. Everything is happening just like you said it would not happen. Aren’t you even embarrassed? Your intellectual parameters don’t exactly elevate the perception of UNC greatness we hear so much about.

I am picking them to lose to Northern Illinois this weekend.  Though that could put NIU into a bcs game.  Though a MAC team is not deserving of a bcs bowl, neither is a big east team, especially given the fact that Kent St beat Rutgers in Rutgers.

the 5th bcs game has really, really watered down the bowl season.  The Orange and Sugar bowls won’t even be in the top-12 bowls to watch this year.

Yeah my intellectual parameters certainly can’t match the WVU message board content that you cite all the time.

I am sorry, I forgot where you forecasted Maryland leaving after Notre Dame joining. Please remind us Seminole the magnificent.

I guess you knew all along but wanted to keep it a secret right?
