I’d like to see an NCST fan opinion on this guy.  From my perspective we just hired a guy that gets torched all season, not just by Clemson, and make him our coach.  Yep, sounds about right.

NCST fan opinion?  I know we have at least one on the boards.

This would have been perceived as a great hire at this time a year ago. But the ‘Pack secondary was one of the bigger disappointments in the ACC this year.

Brian Dawkins calls it a good thing for Clemson.

Dabo hired him for recruiting mainly, which is always Dabo’s focus. He’s a so-so coach or so it seems, much like Coach Cheese.

Nothing much to get too excited or upset about. I hope BV can get this defense dialed in with him.

What has shown you he is a good recruiter?  I can’t see much he brought to NCST.

I always liked Reed.  Im not sure how good of a coach he is as I think he may have been handicapped by the system we ran.  We did get a lot of interceptions the last few years, but were also being burned just as often.  I think that was a product of our blitz-happy approach as much as anything.  He was one of our better recruiters, though that is not saying much considering how poor most of the other staff was in that area.  Hard for me to say whether he is a good hire or not as the lameness of Tom Obrien may have held him down considerably on the field and the recruiting trail.  It will be interesting to see how he does at Clemson.
