I love watching the parade and game each year. It seems it’s always sunny and warm. Sometimes the game doesn’t live up to the billing, but the tradition of the game is unlike any other. I’ve only been to the west coast once. That was to visit Seattle. I’d love to one day fit a trip to Pasadena for the parade and Rose Bowl game. As for Stanford’s band… I believe they’ve been placed on probation for spelling out vulgarities. I think it’s ok. If you don’t find it funny… don’t look or listen to the band.
I also believe there are plans to do some major renovations to the Rose Bowl. I hope that doesn’t involve a 2nd deck. I think the bowl effect of the stadium is neat, and lends itself to the tradition of the game.
