At the end of Florida victories, the team usually sticks around to sing the alma mater with the band.

But after Wednesday’s embarrassing 33-23 loss to Louisville in the Sugar Bowl, most Florida players couldn’t get off the field fast enough while others went to find their friends and family in the stands.

But one player stayed to sing his last fight song of the season.

Junior linebacker Darrin Kitchens ran over to the band section, held his helmet high and proudly sang the fight song. It didn’t matter that he was the only one standing alone while his other teammates ignored his gesture.

According to the participation report, Kitchens never played in the game. Yet he seemed to savor this final moment and I’m sure the band appreciated his participation.

Wow.  That is actually quite sad. 

Respect to the young man for doing that.

UF is a dirty team. They were trying to hurt UL players. Two personal fouls on the same play and a player kicked out of the game. Muschamp lost control of the team. He was more worried about the refs than coaching up his team.

I respect him for having the character to stand there by himself and do that. Everyone else should be embarrassed.

UF put a helmet to helmet on Manuel also during our game. They are not above a cheap shot now and then if they can get it in.

As much despise the gators, I respect him and hope that all my beloved Dawgs would do the same thing, which is to keep pride in who you are. That is shocking there is not one player or coach standing by his side.

Not that shocking…this is the turds we’re talking about here. I sent this pic to my turd buddy Kim and she said it made here sad….I laughed, I do feel kind of bad for the guy….dude where are your teammates?
