One of SP’s favorites, Clemson’s Daniel Rodriguez, received the Discover Orange Bowl Courage Award this morning at the FWAA Awards Breakfast in Ft. Lauderdale. He will also be honored tonight during the BCS Championship Game. D-Rod played in all 13 games.  He had 3 rec for 10 yds, 1 solo and 3 assisted tackles.

next year id really love to see him get some reps in garbage time at mike linebacker, esp with the 3rd stringers. his leadership qualities could really inspire some young guys on defense. and thats where we need it

Very cool! Daniel is an outstanding young man, and it was definitely an honor to be able to hang out with him when he visited us at Southern Pigskin.

I’m glad to see him get the recognition. He’s an inspirational story and good man.

Based on this last year they could have used a little leadership, encouragement, and motivation as an example…
