What is the legacy of AJ McCarron? Will he go down as one of the greatest college football quarterbacks ever?

This is not a criticism of him. I think he is so effective because he is the perfect player for the style they have at Alabama. You could not create a better QB for them. That is a reflection of him and the coaches.

He’s ok… but it’s the team that was good… Let’s not overreact.

The answer is it all depends on how you judge quarterbacks. If you only look at wins and losses, he may go down as the greatest ever. If you want statistics, he will still go down as a good QB, but will never be considered among the elite.

One of the worst QB’s Bama ever had as far as stats had the best win record.
You know who that is ?
I used to yell ” they’re throwing the game ” when he went on the field.
Threw 10 passes against ” the best players money can buy ” completed 2 , I think , and threw 2 interceptions .
He was very effective except at throwing the ball.
No, Day-Bo was not thrown to in that game.
This is from memory fellows.
The offensive line this season was the #1 factor in success with a very young team .
