Just picked up Justin Upton and Chris Johnson from the Dbacks for Prado, Delgado and some prospects. I’m happy but also not so happy with this. We just went from a team who could get on base but not score runs to a team who strikes out a lot but can hit bombs.

It is unfortunate that we had to give up Prado (we couldn’t come to an agreement for his long term deal). I guess the batting order would look something like:
Simmons SS
JHey RF
Justin Upton LF
Freeman 1B
Uggla 2B
BJ Upton CF
McCann C (when he comes back)
Johnson 3B

I am pumped about this lineup. Could be the best outfield in baseball.

Seriously! Its fun to play but horrible to watch. Occasionally I’ll watch an inning or two but always catch myself saying “How do people watch this???”. It amazes me that MBL makes so much more money then NBA and NHL. I’m guessing its just because they play double the games.

Great move for Atlanta. Prado is a wonderful talent and his consistency and versatility will be missed. Very excited about this outfield, though.

Yup. They need to find a way to speed up the games I think. Not sure how I feel about the move yet. I liked Prado a lot.

Seems like I watch heavily at the start of the year, right around the All-Star break, and playoffs. I can’t watch 9 innings of all 162(?) games though. Should have great speed on the bases this year, I still miss Deion and Otis at the top of the order.
