I guess call this the February edition.

Duke @ FSU is officially being called a sell out. I wish I could go, but I have no ticket. I did however go to the Maryland game Wednesday to see Snaer win it from 3. If FSU wins this game, I think it puts them squarely back in the NCAAT conversation, but still a lot work to do to insure their invite.

FSU is sitting at 12-8, 4-3 with 11 conference games left (6 home, 5 away).  Six of those games are vs teams ahead of the noles in the standings so they have a chance to prove themselves and move up.  I think it’s going to take 8 wins and 1 ACCT win to secure a spot, 5 vs the lesser teams and 3-3 vs the top 5.  The final ACC bid will come down to UNC and FSU.  They really need to win the game in Chapel Hill.  UNC also has 6 home 5 away

I’m pleasantly surprised by Clemson at 12-8, 4-4, 6 of the final 10 are on the road though.  Most of the tougher games are at home where they’ve been very good under Brownell in conference play.  If the Tigers can finish at .500 it might be enough for an NIT bid which would be a satisfactory finish to me. 

How fortunate are the Canes that Mizzou was stupid enough to steal Haith away?  Good recruiter, bad coach.  My friends here are starting the No Faith In Haith campaign already.

FSU got hammered by Duke. The football team isn’t the only one that needs an offensive coordinator. Miami at NC State has been a great game so far.

Big win for Coach K and the boys today. It seemed like FSU’s game plan completely centered around stopping Plumlee. They did a pretty good job of that, but our shooters were open all day long. It also really helped that we were able to get out in transition more than normal. That was a very big win for our team considering that we have not really played all that well since Kelly went down with injury.

“Snaer, for 2!!!” It almost doesn’t seem real but Snaer hit another buzzer beater to beat GT last night, his 3rd in about a week and half and 5th since last year. Keepin’ us alive for the post-season (most likely NIT, but still…).

5 different ACC teams.

Put up a good fight tonight vs. #3 Miami but missed shots down the stretch, lost by 6 I think it was. UNC is looking decent at Duke early.

I hate it… Miami is the truth.
