With 4* LB EJ Levenberry Jr. and 5* CB Jalen Ramsey confirming/committing today, I feel much better about this class. We are still in play for quite a few blue chippers, hopefully we land our share.

ESPNU will show 5 of them committing/signing tomorrow; LB M. Thomas, OL D. Kirkland, DT K. Bryant, and WRs S. Coley and J. Cunningham. Also have 5+ highly rated guys that could commit.

Excited for tomorrow, hate I have to work.

Got 5* LB Matthew Thomas, missed on the next 3 ESPNU live commitments. Still have J. Cunningham to announce.

Jordan Cunningham signed with Vanderbilt this morning.

Thought FSU turned a so-so class into a very good one over the last week or so. Little down from last year, but I’d be very satisfied with this group if I’m a Seminoles fan given all the turnover.

Oops, 4* DT Keith Bryant did commit to FSU. Yeah, as an FSU fan, I guess I can settle for only the number 9(espn)/11(rivals) class, lol.

How long til the first game again?

I think Fisher and company turned in a great class considering the amount of coaching attrition this cycle. Could have been an even greater class had we landed one of the 3 OT’s we targeted. Really happy we got William Bell. That kid is going to be a beast. Was coached by all-pro Chris Samuels so you know he has technique.

Vanderbilt and Mississippi are realizing you have to pay the going rate.

FSU has beaten the SEC champ at least 8 times, and we don’t even play in the SEC, lol:

FSU beat the 1987 SEC champs 34-6
FSU beat the 1988 SEC champs 13-7
FSU beat the 1989 SEC champs 22-14
FSU beat the 1993 SEC champs 33-21
FSU beat the 1994 SEC champs 23-17
FSU beat the 1996 SEC champs 24-21
FSU beat the 2000 SEC champs 30-7
FSU beat the 2013 SEC champs 34-31

Give it up for the SEC, a conference which almost beat FSU

At least Vandy did decent last year and have academics.  Though I hate their coach for saying his teams was like 14th in the country or something with a justification of “because we SEC”

Droogsma was never going anywhere else.

“The group that we’ve signed, is not a giant group,” Harnden said. “It’s all quality. You get two football players who come in and immediately help the program. Levonte is an instant impact and certainly Jalen can help us big-time. “Michael Cherry is just special. He ran the fourth-fastest time (in high school history) in the indoor 500 last week. For a 6-foot-4 guy on a flat track, that’s just special.”

Special was an oft-used word by Harnden, describing the group.

“I’ve never seen a guy more excited about Florida State than Austin Droogsma,” Harnden said. “The kid is just over the moon. ...

Droogsma, whose father Mike was the Metro Conference runner-up in the discus for the `Noles in 1984, is the state’s top-ranked discus and shot put thrower. The senior at Gulf Breeze High School wanted so badly to become a Seminole that he rebuked a handful of major college football offers to sign Wednesday.”
