To see the defending national champions score literally the first time they touched the football was pretty surreal. It was unique because everyone in the Georgia Dome had the same thought; “we should be shocked, but we aren’t”.

I am shocked that VT has as good of a defense as they do with as bad of an offense as they do. i thought they did a pretty good job of holding Alabama in check for most of the night. Alabama is just too good in all three phases of the game for most, but if VT could have even been a marginal threat that game would have been very much in question.

Saban is gonna work those boys this week…

New Offensive Line Coach and three new Linemen.

No Bama fan is happy with the Offensive Line play in this game.

Eight in the box is what VT usually does in a game like this .

The passing game was not good.

There were a bunch of backups playing in the second half.

It also was a little odd to see a Frank Beamer team on the losing end of special teams play.

If VT had a speck of offense they could have made a game of this.  Bud Foster did all he could….VT’s D did a good job on stuffing Bama’s Offense until late

I’m not sure what to expect from VT this year. I had them preseason picked as 3rd in the Coastal, but my picks 1-4 in the Coastal were very close together.

Bama looked like they were in a different league.. not conference, league.

Alabama won’t lose. I watch LSU, Georgia, some of Florida and Texas A&M.

Alabama will not lose this fall.

I told the folks around here that the Offensive line would be a problem.

My predictions were these;

Should be:  42-0.

Will be:    42-10

If VT scores 17 points The Tide will lose two games this season/post season.

If VT scores more than 17 The Tide will lose three games.

They have two weeks to learn how to block.
